Pittsburgh Steelers 7-Round Mock Draft: Tyleik Williams and Keeanu Benton Form an Immovable Duo

In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Steelers find a successor for Najee Harris on Day 2, and they bring in a developmental quarterback.

What might the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ strategy be next April? This 2025 NFL Mock Draft takes a look at what the Steelers could do based on their moves heading into the 2024 NFL season.

The biggest overarching question mark for the Steelers is at quarterback. Both Russell Wilson — the presumed starter — and Justin Fields — who was acquired via trade — are only on one-year deals from this point out. Soon enough, Pittsburgh could be looking for a passer again.

But the odds are just as rich that one of the two — Wilson or Fields — might earn an extended stay with competent play in Pittsburgh in the coming campaign. Mike Tomlin is known for his stability as a leader, and the offense is well put together around its QB.

If the Steelers remain competitive through adversity — as they’ve done so well over recent years — here’s what their 2025 NFL Draft haul could look like.

Who Could the Pittsburgh Steelers Draft in 2025?

1.15) Pittsburgh Steelers: Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State

In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Steelers made their offensive line a dominant force. In 2025, they’ll now turn to the other front. Tyleik Williams, with his logic-defying athleticism and versatility at 6’3″, 327 pounds, would wreak havoc beside Keeanu Benton.

Williams has the size, natural leverage, and strength to hold the point from any alignment in run defense. But he also has the explosiveness and ankle flexion to stunt across alignments, drive power, and punch open holes in pass protection with his leg churn.

If Cameron Heyward leaves in free agency next offseason, the need on the interior defensive line only becomes more pressing. The Steelers have a stalwart EDGE tandem with T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith. Williams ensures that the interior remains a strength.

2.47) Pittsburgh Steelers: Domani Jackson, CB, Alabama

Donte Jackson is a short-term fix for the Steelers at CB, but they still need to find a running mate for Joey Porter Jr. Domani Jackson would be a sound investment with his elite recovery speed at 6’1″, 190 pounds — as evidenced by his eye-popping 10.25 100m dash.

Jackson’s play in 2023 was, at times, up and down — but the entire USC defense was cursed with that affliction, and coaching played a role. At Alabama, Jackson — a five-star talent — will get another chance to deliver on his early-round potential.

3.79) Pittsburgh Steelers: Damien Martinez, RB, Miami (FL)

Najee Harris will almost certainly be out the door in 2025. Damien Martinez can take the reins without missing a beat with his 241-pound frame and unnatural fluidity as a runner.

Martinez isn’t much of a threat as a receiving back; that’s where Jaylen Warren’s continued presence will factor in. But as a workhorse, Martinez has one of the most appealing profiles in the 2025 NFL Draft class.
