Philadelphia Eagles Are Embracing a Youth Movement This Offseason
As Roseman and the Eagles continue to break their recent tendencies, Philadelphia is embracing a youth movement. While players such as Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox have retired, Philadelphia is planning to fill their voids with significantly younger replacements. Roseman decided to trade Haason Reddick after signing his eventual replacement, 25-year-old Bryce Huff.

It’s no secret that the Eagles are always willing to address the trenches early in the NFL Draft. Philadelphia has drafted offensive and defensive linemen at a disproportionately high rate in the early rounds during Roseman’s tenure. NFL EDGE Rankings 2024: Haason Reddick Listed Ahead of Bryce Huff
Roseman and the Eagles made a massive decision this offseason by trading Reddick to the New York Jets. Ironically, Reddick’s replacement in Philadelphia will likely be Huff, who just departed from New York. While Huff is certainly an ascending pass rusher, he hasn’t quite surpassed Reddick yet. NFL WR Rankings 2024: DeVonta Smith Listed Surprisingly Low
Pro Football Network NFL Analyst Dakota Randall ranked the NFL’s top wide receivers on Wednesday. While Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown is accurately ranked as the sixth-best player at the position, DeVonta Smith is listed surprisingly low.
Smith ranks outside of the top 15, listed behind Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore at 16th overall.

NFL Executives Question Philadelphia’s Offseason Decisions
While many questioned if the Eagles lost their identity in 2023, an NFL executive believes that Philadelphia’s offseason moves haven’t helped.
