    We have known for a while that the Philadelphia Eagles are hosting an NFL game in Brazil, and now we know their opponent for the Week 1 contest.

    Wednesday morning has brought some more clarity to the NFL schedule. With the NFL world having known the Philadelphia Eagles are set to host a Week 1 game on a Friday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, we now know who they will be hosting in that matchup.

    Eagles Set To Host Packers in Brazil

    The NFL schedule has evolved over the last decade, with the league branching out to tap into new markets and new platforms. One of the biggest changes to date was the announcement that the Eagles would be hosting a Week 1 matchup on a Friday — in a different continent.

    Now we know that the matchup will include a heavyweight NFC battle, as the Green Bay Packers were the team selected to open their regular-season slate in Brazil against the Eagles.

    The matchup pits two NFC playoff teams that boast young, talented rosters that are expected to be in the mix for a conference title in 2025.

    The NFL likes to find intriguing matchups when it comes to widespread telecasts and viewership being the goal. With the league branching out to Brazil, this game assuredly will provide a juicy matchup for fans across the world to enjoy.

    Jordan Love and the Packers are the lucky recipients to travel across the globe to face off against Jalen Hurts and the Eagles in a truly unique experience. With it being an interconference game, despite the circumstances and distractions that may come as a result, it will be an important Week 1 matchup that will surely have playoff implications.

    The NFC Matchup Will Be a Stream Exclusive

    If the game being played at a neutral site outside of the country wasn’t already enough change for NFL fans, you can add one more viewing adjustment to the mix as well.

    It was previously reported that this game with be streamed exclusively on Peacock, something the NFL has begun to dive into in recent years.

    Peacock and its entities will be the only vessel in which NFL fans will be able to watch the Week 1 matchup. It’s similar to the experience the network provided in the Wild Card round when the same was done for the matchup between the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs.
