With over $45 million in cap space, the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to be major players during the 2024 offseason.
Whether it’s by trades or shrewd signings, general manager Howie Roseman has plenty of resources to be active at this stage. Philadelphia has plenty of decisions to make regarding players on their current roster, but that pales in comparison to the resources at their disposal.
With free agency set to begin in just a few days, let’s look at the latest news and notes coming out of the City of Brotherly Love.
Philadelphia Eagles Free Agency Tracker
It’s already been a very busy offseason for the Eagles. Two franchise legends in Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox have announced their retirements, while another, DE Brandon Graham, was re-signed to a one-year deal.
As busy as it has been already, the rumors have been even louder. According to multiple reports, both of the Eagles’ leaders in sacks from last season, edge rushers Haason Reddick and Josh Sweat, are rumored to be available for trade. Both players are entering a contract year and will be playing under a new defensive coordinator in Vic Fangio.

Additionally, on the rumor front, the Eagles have been linked to Giants RB Saquon Barkley and Jets EDGE Bryce Huff in free agency. Barkley would fill the vacancy left by RB D’Andre Swift, who is also a free agent. Meanwhile, Huff could be a replacement if they decided to part ways with either Reddick or Sweat.
