MSN Slideshow Philadelphia Eagles 7-Round NFL Mock Draft By Pro Football Network FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail January 23, 2025 | 7:50 PM EST Share FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail 1 of 7 The Eagles are having a great season as they have made it to the Conference Championship game. They would also fancy adding some star power for the upcoming season. Let's look at what PFN predicted in their most recent 7-round mock. Nolen is a 3-0 home run swing. The pitcher could throw a curveball and you could look foolish, or he could try to send a fastball over the heart of the plate that travels 450 feet. Nolen goes from looking like an unstoppable force one game to complete anonymity in another. His inconsistencies are endlessly frustrating, but the Eagles have such an insulated roster that they can afford to slowly develop the Ole Miss Rebel at his own pace. The Eagles always value trench play and are never afraid of drafting a year ahead in the trenches. Jones needs a year to develop whether it be as a right tackle or as a guard, and the Eagles iron-clad roster allows for that freedom. Stutsman is an old-school, downhill glass eater. Some linebackers have a knack for finding a crease to exploit and make plays behind the line of scrimmage, and Stutsman is that guy. He’s also an intelligent, but physically underwhelming coverage defender. Kyren Lacy consistently beats press coverage with sharp footwork and hand techniques. He is a polished route runner and uses head fakes and body control to confuse defenders. Lacy demonstrates great body control and catch radius. He dominates intermediate routes with precise timing and spacing. Lacy is a reliable red-zone target and versatile wide receiver. At 6’1″, 204 pounds, Edwards is taller and lighter than most backs — a combination that impacts both his running leverage and sturdiness through contact at times. While he has good contact balance, finishing forward isn’t always a strength. Going further, while Edwards has the elite explosiveness and high-level short-area twitch to set a strong running foundation, his vision is close to average, and his creative instincts aren’t elite, either. He has decent baseline instincts, but when there are creases in the blocking, he sometimes struggles to adapt and make up for it. As a versatile receiving back with high-level explosiveness and sparkplug ability, Edwards has definite appeal as a rotational presence at the NFL level. He may never be a workhorse or a volume back, but he can fill a role and provide value for an NFL offense. McLaughin has a stout, boxy frame with solid play strength. He works great as the 'set-up' man on duo doubles and inside zone combos. He is quick, and seals nose tackles along with widening when needed. He shows patience and precise timing to neutralize moves across his face in pass protection.
