Every college football season has new, emerging storylines. In the summer of 2023, it was clear what some of those would be for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Who would emerge as QB1 between Caleb Williams and Drake Maye? Would any other passers surge behind them? Would anyone challenge Marvin Harrison Jr. for the WR1 mantle? And who would lead the way in the legendary offensive tackle class?
Looking back now, we have the answers. Jayden Daniels became a star and leapfrogged Maye for QB2. Rome Odunze and Malik Nabers each made their case to unseat Harrison. And names like Joe Alt, JC Latham, Olu Fashanu, Taliese Fuaga, and Amarius Mims loomed large in the trenches.
We have those answers now, but only because we let the 2023 college football regular season play out. Now, we must do the same in 2024.
Who will win the QB1 mantle between Carson Beck, Shedeur Sanders, and others? Can prospects like Jalen Milroe, Conner Weigman, and Drew Allar reach their ceiling?
