Peyton Manning’s Net Worth: Here’s Much Has the Hall of Fame QB Made in His Career

    Published on

Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning earned many accolades throughout his NFL career. What is the legendary quarterback's net worth?

NFL legend Peyton Manning is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever pick up a football — and for good reason. The 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee has a laundry list of accolades, including a staggering 14 Pro Bowl selections, 10 All-Pro nods, five NFL MVP awards, and two Super Bowl rings.

Manning, who’s best known for his 14-year stint with the Indianapolis Colts, retired as the all-time leader in several notable passing categories. While he’d eventually be surpassed by contemporaries like Tom Brady and Drew Brees, numbers like 71,940 career passing yards and 539 passing touchdowns (both rank third all-time) are still extremely impressive.

As you can imagine, Manning did quite well for himself during his playing days, and he continues to bring in the big bucks in his post-football career. Let’s examine Manning’s net worth and how it compares to other legendary quarterbacks.

What Is Peyton Manning’s Net Worth?

Manning didn’t get to play in the golden age of exorbitant salaries that present-day passers enjoy, but his longevity and superstar status still allowed him to secure the proverbial “bag” during his playing days. His substantial net worth is a testament to that.

Manning’s is estimated to be an eye-popping $250 million. That figure is even more impressive when one considers that it exceeds Manning’s listed career earnings of $248 million.

For comparison, Tom Brady’s net worth is estimated to be between $300 million and $450 million. It certainly helps that he signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox to join their broadcast team.

But Manning didn’t do all of his money-making on the gridiron either.

Manning has a ton of endorsement deals, even in retirement. Manning has notably paired up with nationwide brands like, fittingly enough, Nationwide Mutual Insurance, Papa John’s, Buick, DirecTV, Sony, ESPN, Spring, Master Card, Reebok, and Gatorade, among others. He also famously shilled for Budweiser beer very shortly after winning Super Bowl 50.

In fairness, Manning’s post-football income isn’t restricted exclusively to shilling products and singing commercial jingles alongside country music star Brad Paisley.

“Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli,” often fondly referred to as the ManningCast, has been a fixture on ESPN2 since the 2021 NFL season. The superstar brothers, who played a combined 34 years in the NFL, provide a unique perspective that few analysts in the game can match. They also have notable comedic timing and regularly include prominent guests, which keep viewers coming back.

The ManningCast is produced by Manning’s production company, Omaha Productions. Omaha Productions is also responsible for the Netflix series “Quarterback” and “Receiver” as well as the ESPN series “Peyton’s Places,” which has been spun off to feature other legendary athletes like Eli Manning, Vince Carter, Sue Bird, Ronda Rousey, Abby Wambach, David Ortiz, P.K. Subban, and John McEnroe.

In 2023, Omaha Productions received a significant investment from Peter Chernin’s company The North Road, which valued Omaha Productions at $400 million.

Speculation pervades as to whether Manning will one day join the coaching ranks or, alternatively, pursue a more dedicated broadcasting position. He obviously has a gifted mind for football, so much so that it earned him a generational fortune.

With that in mind, it’s hard to fault him too much if he opts to kick his feet up for just a bit longer.
