NFL Analyst Pat McAfee Shares 2-Word Reaction to Dolphins Star Tyreek Hill Wanting Out of Miami

    Published on

As WR Tyreek Hill essentially announced his trade demand from the Miami Dolphins, Pat McAfee couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Failing to beat the New York Jets in the final week of the regular season ended the playoff hopes for the Miami Dolphins. Unfortunately, the situation got worse for them when, during a locker-room press conference, wide receiver Tyreek Hill had a weird demeanor about him.

Hill sounded unsure of his future, especially with the organization. Now, as head coach Mike McDaniels sheds coincidental evidence to the situation, it’s looking likely that Hill might not be with the Dolphins for long. If nothing else, ESPN’s Pat McAfee is 100% convinced that the wide receiver is done with Miami.

Pat McAfee Shines a Spotlight on Tyreek Hill Leaving Miami

Despite being voted as the best player in the NFL by his fellow players going into the year, Hill had arguably the worst season of his career. Since coming to Miami, he had been on a heater, tallying over 1,700 receiving yards in each of his first two seasons. Yet, this season, he failed to even cross the 1,000-yard mark.

While some of it came down to the injuries to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the disappointment radiating off of Hill was undeniable. So, when reports emerged of him stating that he “has to do what’s best for his career, whether it’s in Miami or elsewhere,” McAfee jumped on it.

“OH S***,” the Indianapolis Colts legend sent out in a tweet on X.

For the last couple of weeks, rumors of Hill leaving have grown rampant, with the WR himself taking to social media to stoke the speculation further.

Whether it was a Snapchat story tying him to the Los Angeles Chargers or a specific New Year’s wish to his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, Hill has been pivotal in keeping fans on their toes. But with his trolling nature on social media, the truth behind the situation was hidden.

However, during Hill’s in-person comments, it was hard to deny that his time in Miami might be coming to a close.

“I feel like, at the end of the day, there are a lot of things that I need to reassess about my career and just see where what I need to do to continue to get better, so I can continue to, like, reach that 1,000-yard mark. So, it is what it is.”

But what struck out were his comments later in the interview. When asked about the message he would send to his teammates as a team captain, Hill’s answer was telling.

    “I don’t even know, bro.”

“This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs, man. So, I mean for me, like I said, man, I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family, dog. If that’s here or that’s wherever the case may be, man, I’m gonna open that door for myself, dog.”

If anyone still had doubts, Hill’s final words made it clear.

“I’m out, bro. It was great playing here, but you know, at the end of the day, I gotta do what’s best for my career.”

Almost certainly, Hill is going to be starting next season in a different jersey. Now, let the speculations begin.
