‘He Can’t Get Past This Juggernaut’ — Pat McAfee Gets Honest on Josh Allen Failing To Overcome Chiefs in AFCCG

Josh Allen may be one of the NFL’s brightest stars, but when it comes to the AFC Championship Game, there’s one roadblock he just can’t bulldoze: the Kansas City Chiefs. Pat McAfee didn’t hold back, calling out the Buffalo Bills QB’s ongoing struggles against the reigning AFC powerhouse.

Allen’s grit and talent are unfathomable, but each postseason run seems to end in heartbreak at Arrowhead.

Josh Allen vs. the Chiefs: Pat McAfee Calls It as the Juggernaut Strikes Again

Allen’s a freak of nature, but there’s a problem: that pesky juggernaut called the Chiefs. Pat McAfee didn’t mince words, straight up saying what no Bills fan wants to hear: “People 20 years from now are gonna say, ‘Josh just wasn’t good enough.’ … He certainly is. He just can’t get past this juggernaut that is the Kansas City Chiefs.”

Before the 2024 AFC Championship, McAfee already called it — Chiefs all the way.
The Chiefs have turned Allen into their personal playground, shutting down the Bills’ dreams twice in the AFC Championship in five seasons. No matter how hard Allen tries, it’s like the Chiefs are this brick wall in his face.

Allen Faces Reality: Chiefs Keep Crushing Bills’ Super Bowl Dreams

Allen had that staring-at-the-void look as the clock hit zero and the Chiefs celebrated yet another win. The Bills left with their fourth straight postseason heartbreak at the hands of Mahomes and the Chiefs, a 32-29 win in the AFC Championship.

Allen didn’t even try to sugarcoat it. His postgame mood was a mix of disappointment and disbelief. “It’s not fun,” he said, “But to be the champs, you have to beat the champs, and we didn’t do that tonight.” You could feel the weight of that statement.

Sure, the Bills have won their share of regular-season battles against the Chiefs, but when the playoffs roll around, it’s like they’re the roadkill on Mahomes’ Super Bowl highway. Until Allen figures out how to put the brakes on this Chiefs dynasty, the Bills’ championship hopes are stuck in the fast lane of frustration.
