Packers vs. Lions Best Touchdown Scorer Bets: Is David Montgomery a Lock?

In the last Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions game back in Week 4, both teams combined to score six touchdowns. For today’s game, what are the best touchdown scorer bets? Let’s take a look at our favorite picks to get into the end zone.

Packers vs. Lions Best Touchdown Scorer Bets

    Christian Watson (+195 at DraftKings)

Rolfe: So far this season Christian Watson has bookended his games with touchdowns. His receiving touchdown against the Chargers last week was Watson’s first since he made his debut back in Week 4 of the season. That TD back in Week 4 came against … the Lions.

Detroit has allowed five receiving touchdowns to the WR position in the last two games, as opposing offenses have managed to get the better of their secondary at times. With Dontayvion Wicks likely missing with a concussion and Aaron Jones out with a knee injury, there should hopefully be plenty of opportunities for a now fully healthy Watson.

David Montgomery 2+ TDs (+400 at FanDuel)

Gosling: In the Lions’ first game against the Packers back in Week 4, David Montgomery scored three TDs en route to a 34-20 win. Nothing that has happened in the weeks prior has led me to believe this game should be any different.

Montgomery has scored eight touchdowns in seven games and is averaging a career-high 4.9 yards per carry. The Packers will have to force the Lions to run the ball if they want to stay competitive, with Jared Goff playing some of his best football right now (turnovers aside).

We all know Dan Campbell has an old-school coaching mentality and loves to run the ball near the goal line. Plus, he is not afraid to go for it on fourth down, giving us even more opportunities to win this bet.

AJ Dillon (+155 at ESPN BET)

Bearman: It’s the same old story with Jones, who seems to be questionable to play in every game of his career. At this point, it’s looking like he isn’t going to play, which means more AJ Dillon. This isn’t the world’s greatest play, knowing that he only has one TD on the year, but if the Packers are going to have any chance to win this, they’re going to have to run the ball and keep the Lions off the field.
