The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers renew their postseason rivalry on Saturday night on FOX at 8:15 p.m. ET. This is the 10th playoff meeting between the two teams since the 1995 NFL season. After losing four of the first five meetings, the 49ers have won the last four playoff games against the Packers.
Who Are the Game Announcers for Packers-49ers?
The FOX lead crew of Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi will be on the call for the Packers-49ers game. This crew called last year’s Super Bowl to end their first season together as a team.
Burkhardt has been with FOX since 2013 when he joined the network as an NFL play-by-play announcer. He also leads FOX’s MLB studio coverage during the regular season and postseason.
Olsen is in his third season as a game analyst for FOX. After retiring from the NFL, he joined FOX as a game analyst for the 2021 season. After one season with Burkhardt, FOX elevated the duo as the lead pairing for the 2022 campaign after Joe Buck and Troy Aikman left for ESPN.

Andrews has been with FOX since 2012 after eight years at ESPN. At FOX, she has been part of the broadcast team for three Super Bowls and multiple World Series and MLB All-Star games.
Rinaldi joined FOX in 2021 after almost two decades at ESPN. He has won 16 Sports Emmy Awards and seven Edward R. Murrow Awards in his career, as he has covered most of the biggest events in sports. Rinaldi has covered the Super Bowl, the World Cup, the Olympics, the Daytona 500, the Masters, Wimbledon, and the College Football National Championship.
Is Tom Brady Replacing Greg Olsen Next Season?
Tom Brady was still an active player when he signed a 10-year, $375 million deal in May 2022 to be FOX’s top game analyst when he stopped playing. When he retired after last season, there was speculation about when Brady would take Olsen’s spot on the network’s top team.
Brady decided not to announce games this season and pointed to the start of the 2024 season. In a recent edition of his podcast “Let’s Go,” Brady said, “I’ve got a big broadcasting job that’s going to start in September. I’m already working hard on trying to make sure I’m ready for that opportunity, and I’m prepared mentally and emotionally for that challenge.”
Last winter, Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reported that Olsen’s salary would drop from $10 million to $3 million if he went from FOX’s top team to the second team. Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi are expected to remain on the top team.
