The 2024 NFL Draft cycle is in full swing and now enters one of the final steps of the evaluation process before the event takes place at the end of April.
Big names like Bo Nix, Bucky Irving, and Troy Franklin didn’t exactly light up the 2024 NFL Combine, which means the Oregon Pro Day could be the last chance to drastically improve their draft stock by performing well in front of NFL personnel evaluators.

Oregon Pro Day 2024
The Ducks sent more than a handful of players to the 2024 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, many of whom need to take this final opportunity to impress scouts to help boost their draft-day value.
Bo Nix, Quarterback
Nix has been in the mix for the QB4 spot since the 2024 NFL Draft process started in January. Unfortunately, the Oregon quarterback appears to have lost some ground to J.J. McCarthy and Michael Penix Jr., which means he could see his draft stock fall to Day 2.
Nix would be best served to showcase his arm talent with vertical throws to his collection of wideouts.
Bucky Irving, Running Back
Irving has always been a quicker-than-fast prospect, but his 4.55 time in the 40-yard dash and the lack of explosiveness displayed in his vertical (29.5″) and broad jumps (9’7”) make him a prospect with a lot to gain from a solid performance at the Oregon Pro Day.
Troy Franklin, Wide Receiver
Speaking of players with something significant to gain from the Oregon Pro Day, Franklin had one of the shakiest Combine performances of any wide receiver in Indianapolis.
He ran slower than we expected (4.41 40-yard dash), weighed considerably less than we expected (176 pounds), and looked uncomfortable in multiple drills.
Franklin could legitimately bump his value back into the late first if he runs in the low 4.3 seconds, which is the speed we saw on tape from him during his fantastic collegiate career.
Update: Franklin didn’t run at the Oregon Pro Day, but informed people in attendance that he was ill ahead of the 2024 NFL Combine, explaining his performance versus expectation. It is reported that he looked better in drills on Tuesday than he did in Indianapolis.
Jackson Powers-Johnson, Center
One significant riser during the 2024 NFL Draft process has been Jackson Powers-Johnson, who put on a show at both the Senior Bowl and Combine.
The Oregon center projects as an instant starter at center as a rookie in the NFL and doesn’t stand to gain much more at this point in the process.
Brandon Dorlus, Defensive End
Brandon Dorlus has the type of alignment versatility along the defensive front that keeps guys in the NFL for a long time. On the flip side, his lack of production and tweener versatility make it difficult to nail down a permanent home for him at the next level.
Kyhree Jackson, Cornerback
Khyree Jackson is a very intriguing corner prospect with elite measurables (6’4”, 194 pounds) and physicality that projects very well to the NFL game. He is a disruptive force when he lands his jab in press coverage but presents some limitations with hip fluidity.
If Jackson can post a 40-yard dash time in the mid 4.4s at the Oregon Pro Day while excelling in drills asking DBs to flip their hips and change direction quickly, he could improve his stock.
Evan Williams, Safety
Evan Williams projects as a box safety who can excel in run support. However, his lack of top speed displayed at the Combine does leave questions on the table about his effectiveness in coverage at the NFL level.

His path to improving his draft stock is closely tied to his 40-time and how he performs in a change of direction drills, which require the ability to drop suddenly, clean footwork transitions, and the ability to stay in the drive phase when re-accelerating to top speed.
Other players who could work out during the Oregon Pro Day include Junior Angilau, Popo Aumavae, Mase Funa, Jamal Hill, Camden Lewis, Casey Rogers, and Taki Taimani.
