The Green Bay Packers’ disappointing playoff exit against the Philadelphia Eagles wasn’t the only ugly aspect of Sunday afternoon. The Eagles won, 22-10, but not without adding to the unfavorable stereotypes surrounding Philadelphia sports. A heated altercation in the stands stole the spotlight, drawing criticism from Rachel Bush, wife of Miami Dolphins safety Jordan Poyer.
Philadelphia Eagles Fan Gets Reality Check From Rachel Bush
The incident, caught on video, featured an Eagles fan launching an unprovoked verbal attack at a female Packers fan. In a video shared by Packers content creator Alexander Basara, the man is seen clapping in the woman’s face and hurling offensive slurs after a referee’s call went against Green Bay.
The video quickly gained traction online, and Bush joined the chorus of football fans calling out the perpetrator for his unhinged behavior.
“Listen, I love football,” Bush tweeted. “But it is a ball. It is a game. Some of y’all are not well. No other way to put it.”

The game provided little relief for Packers fans. Green Bay’s offense faltered while sustaining several injuries, making a talent disadvantage even more significant. Jordan Love threw three interceptions against a tough Eagles defense.
Head coach Matt LaFleur and his Packers finished the regular season with an 11-6 record, but they failed to make it count when facing strong teams, going 0-6 against top NFC opponents like the Eagles, Detroit Lions, and Minnesota Vikings.
That marks consecutive years of playoff heartbreak for Green Bay as it hopes to mature and develop around Love. Consistently competing against quality competition is a must for 2025.
Matt LaFleur Reacts to Packers Loss
After the game, LaFleur spoke to the media about his disappointment, taking accountability for his team’s offensive struggles.
“It’s never easy when it ends like this. Give Philly all the credit. They certainly were the better team tonight,” LaFleur said after the game. “When you come into somebody else’s house, against a really good football team, you can’t start the way we did … to be down 7-0 from the jump is obviously too much to overcome.
“Defensively, I thought we played winning football. It’s just offensively and on special teams, we had too many mistakes. … I hurt for our guys. … And it should hurt.”
Nick Sirianni’s Philadelphia squad flexed its star power and versatility in the win. The defense limited the Packers to 16 yards on their first four possessions and forced multiple turnovers. Green Bay’s defense kept the game within reach, but the offense couldn’t muster enough to overcome a fumble on the opening kickoff.
The Packers season is over, but the Eagles are hoping their January fun has just begun. They’ll play host to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round.
