Youth is important in fantasy football, but unfortunately, it doesn’t guarantee an injury-free season. What are the latest injury updates on Noah Brown, Christian Watson, and Pat Freiermuth?
Injury Updates
Noah Brown, WR, Houston Texans
This week’s waiver wire darling Noah Brown has had a good couple of weeks. He finished as the WR2 in Week 9 and WR7 in Week 10 as a part of the now high-flying Houston Texans offense. Nico Collins was sidelined in Week 10, which gave Brown even more room to shine, but now the injury bug may have bitten Brown.

Brown did not practice in any of the final three days of the work week due to a knee issue, and this is of concern. The team hasn’t said anything else about the ailment, so fantasy managers now need to keep an eye on his official status as kickoff nears. We will be reacting live Sunday at noon on the PFN Fantasy YouTube Channel to help with your specific decisions!
If Brown can’t play on Sunday, Tank Dell could see an uptick in targets. Hopefully, Collins will be able to return this week to give Stroud another target.
Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers
WR Christian Watson hasn’t had the year that the Green Bay Packers and fantasy managers have been hoping for. As the WR83 currently, Watson has only one finish in the top 24 this season. The Packers didn’t practice on Wednesday, but Watson was listed as limited on the practice estimate. He is working through a shoulder issue.
Watson dealt with some injuries late in the Week 9 game against the Los Angeles Rams, but he pushed through and played in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Watson can not go on Sunday, Jordan Love has been targeting Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs more often lately.
Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
We haven’t seen TE Pat Freiermuth on the field since Week 4 when he finished as the TE35 on the week. It wasn’t all bad — he also had two weeks where he finished in the top 10. He went down with a hamstring injury and was placed on injured reserve.
Freiermuth looks to be on track to play on Sunday. Head coach Mike Tomlin spoke to the media today and said he “feels good” about Freiermuth’s shot at returning to the field this week. He logged his first practice back from his injury on Wednesday.
Freiermuth said, “It felt amazing, just being out there with the guys, especially the camaraderie we have on the team. It felt good. I feel really good. I just have to see how the week goes.”
