The Houston Texans will face the Green Bay Packers in Week 7. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding WR Nico Collins.
Is Nico Collins Playing in Week 7?
Nico Collins still leads the NFL with 567 receiving yards despite missing most of the past two weeks with a hamstring injury. When can we expect the Houston Texans wide receiver to return to the lineup?
Collins left the Texans’ Week 5 win over the Buffalo Bills after a 67-yard touchdown. Houston originally considered Collins “day-to-day” but later changed that label to “week-to-week” before putting him on injured reserve.
Collins was diagnosed with a hamstring injury, which he had been listed on the injury report for prior to the team’s Week 4 game vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, he fully practiced that week and was not listed on the injury report ahead of Week 5 when he got injured.
Collins’ hamstring injury is not considered a long-term issue, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2. Since then, there have been no concrete updates as to whether Collins will need more than the minimum time on IR.
Last week, head coach DeMeco Ryans said that Collins “will be back” but did not offer a specific date.
Collins must miss at least four games, which means the earliest he can return is Week 10 at home against the Detroit Lions.
