Nick Bosa Net Worth: How Much Is the 49ers Star Worth in 2023?

    Published on

Nick Bosa has a re-altered net worth. Here's what the newest deal from the San Francisco 49ers does for the 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

The longstanding Bay Area nightmare has come to an end on Wednesday afternoon, as the San Francisco 49ers no longer have to worry about Nick Bosa being away from the franchise.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Bosa can return to the 49ers after signing his blockbuster deal. But now, how much is the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year’s net worth? And what was he making before Wednesday’s market-changing deal?

Nick Bosa Officially in NFL Record Books With New Contract

Per Schefter, the new deal is for five years, $170 million, and $122 million guaranteed.

That deal now officially puts the All-Pro pass rusher in the NFL history books. Here’s what Bosa’s deal is broken down to:

    • Annual Salary: Bosa will now earn $34 million a year with this deal. That number officially tops Aaron Donald and the $31.7 million per season he receives from the Los Angeles Rams — which he signed before the 2022 season.
    • Years Added: With this deal, Bosa won’t officially become an unrestricted free agent until the 2029 offseason. He’ll be 32 when he’s up for a new deal.
    • Richest NFL Player? No, with this deal, Bosa will still make less annually than Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers. The $262.5 million deal the Pro Bowl quarterback signed during the summer has Herbert earning $52.5 million per year.

Still, Bosa is officially the richest non-quarterback in league history. And his deal becomes way more than what he previously had.

What Was Bosa’s Net Worth Before His New Contract?

Bosa will now receive a significant raise from what he was previously making.

His net worth before signing his new deal was at $23 million. And that includes what he made with the 49ers and endorsement earnings.

Through his off-the-field ventures, Bosa earned $1 million. And that includes his deals with Nike, Chipotle, Optimum Nutrition, and Bose headphones.

His past contract from his rookie season was for four years and a total of $33,551,865. That also included a $22,421,356 signing bonus. His annual salary, though, was set at $8,387,966 per year via Spotrac.

As of 3:43 p.m. ET, Bosa helped reshape the NFL financial market for non-quarterbacks for years to come. Whoever can make more than the 49ers star now must come to an agreement with their team that places them above the $34 million annual mark Bosa is receiving.
