Texans Players React and Rejoice to Shocking Blockbuster Trade for Stefon Diggs – ‘OMG!!!!!’

The Houston Texans have pulled off a blockbuster trade, landing star wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills.

Fresh off a very successful first season under head coach DeMeco Ryans, the Texans look poised to take the next step into Super Bowl contention this season.

The 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year, C.J. Stroud, is now surrounded by a wide receiver room that’s arguably the best in the NFL — as Diggs joins Nico Collins and Tank Dell to form a very dangerous trio.

Following the news of the trade, Texans players expressed their excitement for the addition of Diggs on social media. Here are the most notable reactions.

NFL World Reacts to Shocking Stefon Diggs Trade

The NFL world immediately took to social media to react to this blockbuster trade.

Texans legend J.J. Watt immediately tweeted approval of this trade, calling Houston a top-tier destination.

Watt certainly has a point, as Demeco Ryans and GM Nick Caserio have completely turned the organization on the right path after the drama of losing Deshaun Watson.

Playing with Stroud and Ryans will be enticing for any player, but for Diggs, it gives him another chance to join a contending team and compete for a championship.

Stefon’s younger brother, Trevon Diggs, cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, just had a shocked emoji as his big brother will be joining him in Texas. It was a shocking trade for everyone, including Trevon, who is likely happy to have his brother in the same state, yet not in the same conference.

Texans Players Extremely Excited About Diggs

Stefon’s new teammates in Houston have already weighed in as well.

“Shiii getting serious!” offensive guard Shaq Mason said in a post.

The entire offensive line seems super pumped about this deal, with right tackle Tytus Howard tweeting a simple, “OMG!!!!”

Newly acquired running back Joe Mixon, who the Texans traded for just a seventh-round pick from the Cincinnati Bengals, tweets that he spoke with Diggs about the possibility of teaming up in Houston, stating that now it’s time to win a Super Bowl ring together.

Diggs is 30, and Mixon is still just 27. While both are on the back half of their careers, it’s promising to team them up in this loaded Texans offense.

Last year, Diggs had 1,183 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Mixon, meanwhile, rushed for 1,034 yards and scored nine touchdowns.
