The Cleveland Browns may be on the verge of losing edge rusher Myles Garrett, who has made a stunning request that he wants to be traded. Garrett has been an integral part of the Browns’ defense, but it appears now that he wants out of Cleveland for a chance to win a Super Bowl.
Myles Garrett Requests Trade
Garrett releases a statement on X about his decision.
“As a kid dreaming of the NFL, all I focused on was the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl — and that goal fuels me today more than ever,” Garrett wrote.
“My love for the community of Northeast Ohio and the incredible fanbase of the Cleveland Browns has made this one of the toughest decisions of my life. These past eight years have shaped me into the man that I am today.
“While I’ve loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete on the biggest stages won’t allow me to be complacent. The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl.
“With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns.”

“Myles Garrett made his trade request public today, but the @Browns’ position on Garrett has not changed. The team has no plans to deal him, per source. (But that certainly won’t stop teams from calling.)” said NFL insider Albert Breer.

This past season, Garrett had 40 solo tackles and 14 sacks, so you understand why so many NFL teams are willing to make a trade for the All-Pro. With that said, you can also understand why the Browns aren’t listening to trade offers.
