NFL Week 15 Prop Bets: Will Raheem Mostert carry the 49ers to victory?

Against the Spread's Co-Host Jason Sarney identifies his NFL Week 15 Prop Bets picks led by San Francisco's running back Raheem Mostert.

The holiday season is upon us with the Fantasy Football Playoffs being the spice in the eggnog, and the NFL Week 15 Prop Bets market is on fire. It’s double-down time, as the standard five or six plays will spike to 10+, as these 12 units are burning a hole in the cyber-wallet.

As always, it’s a good day for a profit, and it’s a good weekend for success in your Fantasy Playoffs, as well as all things player props heading into Week 15.

So far, so good, for this betting site series. 12+ units of profit on the season caused us to have a bit of house money to play with this week. So let’s get into our NFL Week 15 prop picks.

Player Props of the Week – Mostert? Mos Def!

Raheem to run all over Atlanta

The Niners running back job is now Raheem Mostert’s. In the last two games, he has rushed 29 times for 215 yards. He has also added 48 yards on four receptions in that same time frame and found pay-dirt three times. Four in the last three games.

Over these last two games, his yard per carry average is a whopping 7.4. He is becoming a potential Fantasy Playoff MVP, and he is my POTW for Week and all my player props, mainly because the total is far too low. Mostert’s over/under rushing yard line is a measly 52.5.

In the last three fantasy performances, he has averaged an outstanding 20.6 PPR fantasy points per game.

The Falcons are a mediocre rush defense, so with the low yardage bar, as well as the Niners likely leaning on their rusher to finish the game off in the 4th, this should be an easy player prop cover.

NFL Week 15 Prop Bets pick: Raheem Mostert – San Francisco 49ers: OVER 52.5 rushing  yards – NFL Odds – (-112) 2 Units

    More Montgomery, Please

David Montgomery has not had many signature games, nor has he had consistent fantasy or player prop success. In fact, he has only hit 100+ yards once, 75+ yards three times, but does have six touchdowns on the year. Not terrible for a rookie with three games to play.

He goes on the road with his fellow Bears, suddenly clinging to post-season life. With a Packers rush defense, a bottom-8 unit in terms of yards allowed on the ground, expect the Bears to lean on their rookie runner in the cold in Lambeau Field.

The safest play could be his carry over/under player prop for Week 15, which is set at 15.5. He has exceeded this mark four times over his last seven games, and with the weather a factor, I think a 20-carry game is a safer bet than a 10-carry game.

I am not all-in on yard-per-carry confidence since inconsistency is a worry here, however, the volume and chances of him carrying the plenty, against a less-than Aaron Rodgers version of the Packers leaders, I don’t expect the score to get that much out of hand.

This could be a ground-and-pound game for both teams, with an old-school wintery feel in NFL 100 for perhaps the league’s best rivalry.

NFL Week 15 Prop Bets pick: David Montgomery- Chicago Bears: OVER 15.6 rushing attempts passing yards – NFL Odds – (+102) 1 Unit

    Tannehill to Trample Texans

So the leader of Comeback-Player-of-the-Year in many circles gets a home rivalry game in the thick of a playoff battle. A divisional title battle at that. Should Ryan Tannehill lead the Titans to the post-season, it will no doubt be one of the season’s best stories.

Will the good times continue to roll against Houston? Chances are, Tannehill will continue to put his team in a position to succeed, and his passing yard over/under player prop is a modest 259.5.

The Texans are ranked 27th in the league is pass-defense, and Tannehill is feeling it since taking the reigns. This game could approach shoot-out levels, and I think the passing yardage gets close to 300 here.

NFL Week 15 Prop Bets pick: Ryan Tannehill- Tennessee Titans: OVER 259.5 passing yards – NFL Odds – (-112) 1 Unit

    Larry Legend

Perhaps one of the greatest careers of any wide receiver in NFL history could very well be playing his final home game as an Arizona Cardinal.

Larry Fitzgerald, The Hall-of-Famer-to-be, gets himself into the endzone.

That is all I will say.
