NFL Week 12 Predictions From Pro Football Network: Can the Dolphins Maintain Cno

    Published on

The NFL Week 12 predictions are here, and the selection committee is arguing once again over which teams will be victorious this week.

Thanksgiving is a time for old and young to come together in harmony over turkey and quite possibly a copious amount of adult beverages. May your arguments be had over the quality of play in the NFL and not politics! What do the PFN NFL Week 12 predictions look like during this holiday week?

Pro Football Network’s Week 12 NFL Predictions

How did the selection committee fair in Week 11, and who is the new leader in the clubhouse throughout the season?

    • Dallas Robinson: 109-55
    • Dalton Miller: 103-61
    • David Bearman: 103-61
    • Adam Beasley: 98-66
    • Jay Morrison: 96-68

    Last Week

    • Robinson: 11-3
    • Bearman: 11-3
    • Morrison: 9-5
    • Miller: 8-6
    • Beasley: 8-6

Just like last season, it appears the true ball-knower of the group is Robinson. He ran away and hid with the title a season ago and is trending in the same direction in 2023-2024.

Remember, these predictions are simply deciding between winners and losers. There are no point spreads here. For that, head over to our Week 12 betting predictions.

Miami Dolphins at New York Jets

    • Beasley: Dolphins
    • Bearman: Dolphins
    • Miller: Dolphins
    • Morrison: Dolphins
    • Robinson: Dolphins

The Black Friday game is relatively cut and dry. The Jets’ defense might have the firepower to slow down the Dolphins’ offense a bit, but Miami’s defense shouldn’t have any issues defending New York’s offense.

Tim Boyle gets the start, and we’ve seen enough of him at the NFL level to expect very little. Jalen Ramsey’s return from injury has sparked a defensive revolution in Miami, and he’s been rather opportunistic in creating turnovers since coming back.

New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons

    • Beasley: Saints
    • Bearman: Saints
    • Miller: Saints
    • Morrison: Saints
    • Robinson: Saints

Somebody has to win this division, and as the weeks progress, it feels like more and more people are completely out on Arthur Smith. The once-lauded offensive coordinator hasn’t been able to find any semblance of offensive success in Atlanta despite drafting three offensive weapons within the top 10 while also boasting an above-average offensive line.

Meanwhile, the Saints are battling through their own ups and downs. Yet, their defense remains sturdy, and they’re at the point of no return in regards to their winning window.

    Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals

    • Beasley: Steelers
    • Bearman: Bengals
    • Miller: Steelers
    • Morrison: Bengals
    • Robinson: Bengals

The Steelers are 6-4, but that didn’t stop them from firing their offensive coordinator after a 10-point outing against the Cleveland Browns.

Pittsburgh’s offense is abhorrent. Lackluster execution, poor structure, and unnervingly bad quarterback play all factor into their offensive woes, in addition to poor left tackle play.

But the Bengals have underwhelmed on both sides of the ball all season, and they’re now without Joe Burrow. Jake Browning gets the call for them, and it’s curious to see the majority pick Cincinnati, considering Browning went undrafted, hasn’t played at all at the NFL level in real competition, and didn’t look good in the preseason.

Because, in the end, the Steelers are inevitable, no matter how ugly it looks.

    Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans

    • Beasley: Texans
    • Bearman: Texans
    • Miller: Texans
    • Morrison: Texans
    • Robinson: Jaguars

The majority is on Houston in this game, but the best game selector in the crew is going with the current division leader. Considering what happened to the Jaguars the last time these two teams met, that’s an interesting development.

Jacksonville’s offense has underwhelmed all season, but their defense has been good and incredibly opportunistic with turning the ball over. They could very well take advantage of the aggressive Texans’ passing attack and intercept C.J. Stroud a few times; they may need to if they want to win this game.

It’s a bit hard to trust that offense if this turns into a track meet, which Houston has done a lot this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Indianapolis Colts

    • Beasley: Colts
    • Bearman: Colts
    • Miller: Buccaneers
    • Morrison: Colts
    • Robinson: Buccaneers

On paper, this is one of the better matchups this week. The Buccaneers are 14th in offensive EPA, and the Colts are 15th in defensive EPA. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay is 21st in defensive EPA, while Indianapolis is 22nd in offensive EPA.

The matchup could come down to whether or not Baker Mayfield has time to find some third-down magic. In 2023, the Buccaneers have been reliant on his ability to make big-time throws on money downs.

New England Patriots at New York Giants

    • Beasley: Patriots
    • Bearman: Patriots
    • Miller: Patriots
    • Morrison: Giants
    • Robinson: Patriots

Maybe Tommy DeVito can continue on a hot streak after his performance in Washington, but that doesn’t seem like a likely scenario. Even though New England’s defense is endlessly injured, they’re still well-coached, which is more than we can say about the Commanders’ defense.

Meanwhile, Mac Jones is on the other side of the ball playing for his job and, potentially, his career. The Giants’ pass rush could cause problems, but the Patriots should still have an advantage in what should be a low-scoring affair.

    Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans

    • Beasley: Titans
    • Bearman: Panthers
    • Miller: Titans
    • Morrison: Titans
    • Robinson: Titans

The second consecutive banger of a game. Carolina’s offensive interior will have a tough time against Tennessee’s defensive interior. Meanwhile, the Titans’ offensive line would have a tough time against a local Pop Warner defensive front. In other words, this game will likely be an ugly offensive game.

It could come down to which 30+ wide receiver is able to make more plays for their rookie QB.

Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals

    • Beasley: Rams
    • Bearman: Rams
    • Miller: Cardinals
    • Morrison: Cardinals
    • Robinson: Rams

As East View Patriots running back Apollos Hester once said, “They had us in the first half.”

The Rams looked like a surprising contender early on in the season. However, their rookie-heavy roster seemed to hit the rookie wall hard, and it doesn’t help that their veteran QB is being held together by duct tape at this point from playing behind that offensive line.

The Cardinals have been one of the worst teams in the league this season, but things are getting exciting as Kyler Murray returns to action from his ACL tear a season ago.

    Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos

    • Beasley: Broncos
    • Bearman: Browns
    • Miller: Browns
    • Morrison: Broncos
    • Robinson: Broncos

The Broncos have been on a roll in recent weeks, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them overcome the Browns on Sunday. Cleveland is without Deshaun Watson for the rest of the season, and their offense could struggle to keep up, especially when opposing defenses like Denver’s are playing well.

The Browns’ defense is incredible. Russell Wilson has played well in 2023, and this will be his greatest test. The veteran quarterback likes to hold onto the ball and create with his legs as a passer, but that’s a dangerous proposition with Myles Garrett on the other side.

Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders

    • Beasley: Chiefs
    • Bearman: Chiefs
    • Miller: Chiefs
    • Morrison: Chiefs
    • Robinson: Chiefs

The Raiders haven’t beaten the Chiefs since 2020, and quite a few things were different in that time. Aidan O’Connell is no Derek Carr, and Kansas City’s defense is now much better than it once was.

However, Las Vegas is also more impressive defensively than they were in 2020, and the Chiefs’ offense isn’t as impressive as usual.

    Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles

    • Beasley: Bills
    • Bearman: Eagles
    • Miller: Eagles
    • Morrison: Eagles
    • Robinson: Eagles

Buffalo got revenge on the Jets a week ago, but they haven’t played well since losing the bulk of their defense in Week 5. Philadelphia simply wins games. Whether it be ugly or pretty, the Eagles get the job done.

Even though Buffalo has a higher EPA and success rate on offense and a better EPA on defense, it’s clear that Philadelphia is a better team.

Baltimore Ravens at Los Angeles Chargers

    • Beasley: Ravens
    • Bearman: Ravens
    • Miller: Ravens
    • Morrison: Ravens
    • Robinson: Ravens

This game is pretty self-explanatory. The Ravens have a tendency to throw games away inexplicably, but arguably no team in the NFL does that better, or more consistently, than the Chargers.

Baltimore is arguably the best team in the AFC, especially when they take care of the football on offense. Only Cleveland is better defensively, and Baltimore’s offense can win in the run game and passing attack.

    Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings

    • Beasley: Vikings
    • Bearman: Vikings
    • Miller: Vikings
    • Morrison: Vikings
    • Robinson: Vikings

The Bears’ defense hasn’t looked quite as bad as the worst in the league over the past few outings, and getting Justin Fields back is a shot of adrenaline for the offense. However, the Vikings are legitimately fighting for playoff contention, and they need to beat Chicago to keep pace in the NFC.

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions

    • Beasley: Lions
    • Bearman: Lions
    • Miller: Lions
    • Morrison: Lions
    • Robinson: Lions

The selection committee unanimously selected the Lions, but this game could be more interesting than we’re giving it credit. The Packers’ offense is not consistently good, but it is talented. We’ve seen that talent come together a few times this season, and we’ve seen good talent stomp the Lions’ defense in 2023.

Now, Detroit has more than enough firepower to keep up in a points barrage. However, on a short week with little preparation and not enough time for either team to fully physically recover from last Sunday, anything could happen.

    Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys

    • Beasley: Cowboys
    • Bearman: Cowboys
    • Miller: Cowboys
    • Morrison: Cowboys
    • Robinson: Cowboys

    Bloodbath potential.

The Cowboys are one of the best teams in the NFL, with a scorching offense and dangerous defense. The Commanders are coming off a loss to the Giants, have a struggling offensive line, and a defensive backfield that seems to be on pages 1, 17, 139, 428, and 977 of the same novel.

MORE: Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders Predictions

Washington allows big plays at a ridiculous rate, and even though they sacked Tommy DeVito nine times, their pass rush is not dangerous anymore outside of the occasional Jonathan Allen masterclass, which is mitigated by Dallas’ excellent interior play.

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks

    • Beasley: 49ers
    • Bearman: 49ers
    • Miller: 49ers
    • Morrison: 49ers
    • Robinson: 49ers

The 49ers are looking healthy and potent, while the Seattle Seahawks are banged up and coming off a disappointing loss to the Rams.

Geno Smith does an admirable job of squandering the opposition’s pass rush by getting the ball out quickly. However, that also limits the Seahawks’ explosiveness and plays directly into the 49ers’ schematic hands defensively.

It certainly doesn’t help Seattle’s case that Smith is less than 100% and is playing on a short week. Not having the normal juice on his fastball could have devastating consequences over the middle of the field against San Francisco.
