NFL Weather Forecast & Report Week 13: Game weather to watch this week

Well, it’s time to put on your big person pants because things are about to get serious. It’s Week 13, and this is the final week to change your fantasy football playoff fate. As with tradition, we break down the slate and see what the NFL weather forecast and report will look like for Week 13, and how it might impact your fantasy football team.

NFL Weather Forecast and Report, Week 13

Surely after a week off from any weather concerns, the first week of December would bring us back to reality? Actually, no, Week 13 is going to be another clean week from a weather aspect. 2020 has been hard enough for fantasy. The last thing we need right now is it interjecting itself like that drunk person at the bar and ruining your night.

Teams on a bye week in Week 13 include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers.

Please note that all times are Eastern Time, and the NFL Week 13 weather report will be updated if any changes happen from the time of writing this up to kickoff. The NFL weather forecast for Week 13 is based on reporting from National Weather Service.

    No Weather Report/Forecast
    Indoor Games in Week 13

Because these NFL games are indoors, the weather conditions can be controlled, and as such, the only forecast and reports are that it will be optimal playing conditions for these teams. The passing and kicking game will not be affected.

A chance for higher wind gusts
    Early Afternoon Slate

Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets
    Sunday 1:05 PM ET

To be fair, I could place this game in the clear weather category, but I’ll mention it because of a chance for some elevated gusts. It’s going to feel like a chilly New York/New Jersey day on Sunday. The high will be around 42-degrees with a windchill in the lower 30s. Expect to see sunny skies and sustained winds between 12 to 14 MPH. There is a chance of 20 to 24 MPH gusts around kickoff, which is the only concern when looking at the Week 13 NFL weather report.

As for the game, I want to stay away from this from a fantasy perspective. RB Josh Jacobs is out, leaving Devontae Booker to be the lead back. Sure, he will see 15 touches and is a low-end RB2, but you aren’t excited about him. The only player in this game I feel good about is TE Darren Waller. He is second in targets (90) among tight ends, but he leads the NFL in red-zone targets (17). The Jets allow 2.24 PPR points per target to the position and a league-high nine touchdowns to tight ends.

As far as the Jets go in regard to fantasy production in Week 13, stay away. The only player that was startable in fantasy was WR Jamison Crowder, but I wouldn’t trust him with the playoffs on the line until we see his target share return.

    Worry-Free NFL Weather
    Early Afternoon Slate

    Cleveland Browns at Tennessee Titans
    Sunday 1:05 PM ET

For Week 13, the story of this game is the matchup of the running backs. Rushing leader Derrick Henry faces off against Nick Chubb, who has three-straight 100-yard games since coming back from injury. I discuss this matchup in an article while looking at the Monkey Knife Fight More or Less contest and both players’ rushing yards.

It’s hard to see a way either team will be able to contain these incredible rushers. They are both inside the top three in my Week 13 fantasy football rankings.

When looking at the Week 13 weather report for the Browns vs. Titans game, expect 54-degree temperatures, calm winds, and sunny skies.

    Official Monkey Knife Fight Play
Derrick Henry more than 100.5 rushing yards and Nick Chubb more than 84.5 rushing yards for a 3.5x prize.

    Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins
    Sunday 1:05 PM ET

Amazingly, a team where we are unsure who the starting quarterback will be headed into Sunday is still is favored by over 10 points. That said, all signs point to QB Tua Tagovailoa starting, but they will test him during pregame warmups to ensure that he is ready to go.

We do know that RB Myles Gaskin is back, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Dolphins will be out three other RBs, leaving him and Patrick Laird as the only options.

Expect 80-degree temperatures, 8 MPH winds, and sunny skies in Miami for the weather forecast in Week 13.

    Official Monkey Knife Fight Play
Until we know who will be the starting quarterback, I am not comfortable making a Monkey Knife Fight play at this moment. If I do, I will post it on my Twitter account before kickoff.

    Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
    Sunday 1:05 PM ET

After the Lions announced that D’Andre Swift was downgraded to doubtful, it became apparent that he would join WR Kenny Golladay on the sideline for this game. On the other side of the ball, Bears RB David Montgomery is an RB1 in Week 13, even if no one believes it.

When it comes to the running back position, the Lions have allowed the most fantasy points per game, a league-high 14 rushing touchdowns, and seven receiving touchdowns. Is Montgomery efficient? No, but when getting 18-20 opportunities against this defense, he doesn’t need to be.

When looking at the NFL weather report, look for cloudy skies, three mph winds, and 39-degree temperatures.

    Official Monkey Knife Fight Play
David Montgomery to have more than 14.5 PPR points and T.J. Hockenson to have more than 9.5 PPR points for a 3.5x prize.

    Worry-Free NFL Weather
Late Afternoon Slate and Sunday Night Football

New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks
    Sunday 4:05 PM ET

I get wanting to ease back Chris Carson, but being out-snapped 41-25 and out-touched 17-10 is a bit ridiculous. Carlos Hyde only converted those opportunities into 29 yards, so you would think Pete Carroll won’t do that again on Sunday. Carson will be back to RB1 status this week against the Giants.

Don’t expect any adverse weather conditions for this game, as we should see 52-degree temperatures, cloudy skies giving way to sunshine, and seven mph winds.

Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers
    Sunday 4:25 PM

At what point do the Eagles pull the plug on Carson Wentz? Then again, is it worth doing that to subject Jalen Hurts to this offense? Maybe TE Zach Ertz being back in the lineup will help things, but it’s hard to have much confidence in them right now.

Expect 31-degree temperatures, cloudy skies, and 5 MPH winds for the Week 13 weather forecast in the Eagles vs. Packers game.

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
    Sunday 8:20 PM ET

Clyde Edwards-Helaire has an intriguing fantasy matchup in Week 13 against the Broncos. From Weeks 1 through Week 6, the Denver Broncos only gave up one touchdown on the ground while averaging 63.5 rushing yards to the other team. However, since Week 7, the Broncos have given up eight rushing touchdowns and average 130 rushing yards allowed.

The only thing standing in his way is a questionable injury tag and Le’Veon Bell. If CEH misses the game on Sunday due, Bell would become a solid fantasy RB2.

When looking at the Week 13 NFL fantasy weather forecast for this game, expect 36-degree temperatures, clear skies, and 3 MPH winds.

    NFL Week 13 Weather Report
    Monday Night Football Games

Washington Football Team at Pittsburgh Steelers
    Monday 5:00 PM ET

In his last 55 rushing attempts, RB Antonio Gibson has seven touchdowns. That’s nearly a 14% touchdown rate. It’s also as many total touchdowns the Steelers have allowed to the position in 11 games. Gibson can find success, but don’t expect to see the same efficiency on Monday.

Expect 34-degree temperatures,  7 MPH winds, and partly cloudy skies in Pittsburgh for the weather forecast in Week 13.

Buffalo Bills at San Francisco 49ers
    Monday 8:15 PM ET

This game should be a fascinating one in Arizona. The run game will be crucial in determining the outcome on Monday.

Expect 66-degree temperatures, clear skies, and 2 MPH winds for the Week 13 weather forecast.

    NFL Week 13 Weather Report
    Monday Night Football Games

    Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens
    Tuesday 8:05 PM

It seems the illness is done ravaging the Ravens facility after landing more than 20 players on the reserve list. Lamar Jackson is back, and we should see JK Dobbins lead the backfield. TE Mark Andrews is back as well and should be a solid fantasy play this week.

When looking at the NFL weather report, look for cloudy skies, five mph winds, and 34-degree temperatures.
