There were some interesting trades as all the teams in the NFL cut rosters to 53 players. The big possible trade people were looking at heading into this week was if the Colts were going to move running back Jonathan Taylor. He stays in Indianapolis and remains on the PUP list, so he will miss at least the team’s first four games.

On Monday, the Chargers traded kicker Dustin Hopkins to the Browns. Today we saw more kickers change teams.
The Patriots dealt kicker Nick Folk to the Titans for a 2025 seventh-round pick. Folk, who made the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2007, has been with New England since 2019. The Titans will be the fifth team Folk has played for. He made 32 of 37 field goals for the Patriots in 2022, including a perfect 18 for 18 inside 40 yards.
The Broncos acquired kicker Wil Lutz from the Saints for a 2024 seventh-round pick. Lutz reunites in Denver with his former Saints head coach, Sean Payton. He missed a career-high nine field goals in 2022 after missing the entire 2021 season because of a core muscle injury.
Payton is hoping Lutz is able to regain his success from his first four seasons when he made 87.5% of his field goals. Lutz’s career long is 60 yards.

There were reports earlier in the day that the Broncos were waiving tight end Albert Okwuegbunam. Okwuegbunam avoided waivers and was acquired by the Eagles along with a 2024 seventh-round pick.
The Broncos received a 2024 sixth-round pick in return. Okwuegbunam is entering his fourth season after being a fourth-round pick in 2020. He has 54 receptions with four touchdowns in 26 career games.
Which Former First-Round Pick Is Moving to Dallas?
Last Friday, the Cowboys traded for former first-round pick Trey Lance. The team made another move today to pick up another former first-rounder. Dallas and Miami traded cornerbacks who were former high-round picks. The Cowboys acquired Noah Igbinoghene, the 30th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Igbinoghene played in 32 games with five starts in his three seasons in Miami. His only career interception was in the final minute against the Steelers to close out a win in Week 7 last season. Kelvin Joseph, a second-round pick in 2021, is headed to the Dolphins. Joseph played in 26 games with no interceptions for the Cowboys the last two seasons.

The Chiefs traded WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette to the Panthers for a 2025 seventh-round pick. Smith-Marsette is moving to his fourth team in three seasons. He did not have a reception in two games with the Chiefs. He has six receptions and two touchdowns in 16 career games.
The defending Super Bowl champions made a trade with a division rival, acquiring defensive end Neil Farrell Jr. from the Raiders for a sixth-round pick. He played in nine games with the Raiders, recording three solo tackles.
