As the 2023 NFL season continues to chug along, the standings remain fluid. We are nearly a third of the way done now, and every win matters. Some teams might already be looking to the 2024 NFL Draft; others might still have the Super Bowl in their sights. Here are the current NFL standings for each division.

What Are the Current NFL Standings for Each Division?
AFC East
The AFC East is one of the most intriguing divisions in the NFL. Sitting at the top, the Miami Dolphins. With a 5-1 record, the high-flying Dolphins currently lead the division over the Buffalo Bills. The Jets, even without Aaron Rodgers, have somehow managed to win three games while the Patriots are sitting in the basement with one victory.

AFC North
After an impressive win against the Tennessee Titans in London, the Ravens now lead the AFC North. However, they are only one game ahead of the Steelers, Browns, and Bengals. This division looks like it will be one of the closest in the league.

- Cleveland Browns 3-2
- Cincinnati Bengals 3-3
AFC South
The AFC South is one of the tighter NFL divisions. The Jaguars just got a big win to get to four wins, but QB Trevor Lawrence went down late with a knee injury. Meanwhile, Anthony Richardson might be out for the remainder of the season.
The Texans continue to surpass expectations thanks to an incredible rookie season by QB C.J. Stroud.

AFC West
The AFC West is the same AFC West we’ve seen for a few years now. The Chiefs sit at the top, with the Chargers a few games behind.
Even though Kansas City has five wins, they haven’t looked all that great and have been bailed out a number of times. But, like the Chiefs tend to do, they’re probably saving their best football for the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Broncos are in the basement of the AFC West and seem to like it there. Russell Wilson, although statistically playing better than last year, continues to make mistakes that cost this team wins. Sean Payton has brought his own controversies, and Denver will likely need to start thinking about a complete rebuild at this point.

- Denver Broncos 1-5
NFC East
The Eagles were one of two teams that were undefeated heading into Week 6. Well, they lost to the New York Jets. Plus, the Cowboys got a road win against the Los Angeles Chargers to put them only one win behind Philly. With the Commanders also winning this week, the NFC East might be more competitive than we originally thought.

NFC North
The NFC North looks very different from years past, with the Detroit Lions holding a commanding three-game lead.

NFC South
The NFC South is interesting. The Buccaneers, Falcons, and Saints all have three wins on the season, and the Panthers remain winless.
Baker Mayfield has been a fun redemption story this year, while Atlanta and New Orleans have relied on explosive run games to see success. This division is likely going to come down to the wire.
