NFL Standings Week 10: Where Do Teams Like the Patriots, Colts, Cowboys, and Others Land?

    Published on

What are the NFL standings after the Week 10 slate of games? Who leads each division, and have any teams locked things up at this point?

As the NFL season continues on, each game matters and the standings become more and more meaningful. As you await to see where your favorite team lands in their hunt for a playoff spot, each win or loss could mean the difference between a division title or even a better draft pick.

What Are the Current NFL Standings for Each Division?

    AFC East

The AFC East looks to be one of the more fun divisions in the NFL. Two teams are fighting at the top as they try to separate from the pack. The Bills and Dolphins are the cream of the crop in this division, while the Jets suffered a heartbreaking Sunday Night Football loss to the Raiders. However, after a massive upset at home against the Broncos on Monday Night Football, many are wondering if the Bills can really compete in this division.

The Patriots, meanwhile, have lost another game, this time in Germany to the Indianapolis Colts. They are now 2-8, and Bill Belichick’s seat has never been hotter.

    AFC North

The AFC North, from top to bottom, is one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. The Ravens currently sit at the top with seven wins, but they do not have a ton of cushion.

The Ravens suffered a massive loss today 33-31 against the division rival Browns. That threw chaos into the division. Now, the Steelers and Browns are just one game behind Baltimore, while the Bengals sit at the bottom with five wins.

    AFC South

While the AFC South looks like it is the Jaguars’ to lose, there are some young and intriguing teams that are not going away quietly as they hover around .500.

Jacksonville currently has a one-game lead over the Texans, but C.J. Stroud and Co. have looked good, especially with Stroud playing at a literal MVP pace. However, the Colts got the win in Week 10 against the Patriots. They are now 5-5 and are trying to compete for a playoff spot with their backup QB in Gardner Minshew.

    AFC West

You can never say never in the NFL, but this division looks about as sure of a thing as there is. The Chiefs held off the Dolphins in Frankfurt to sit as the top seed in the AFC entering their bye week.

Meanwhile, the Chargers tried to climb back into the division but ultimately fell short against the Lions. They remain three games behind Kansas City. The Raiders got a nice win over the Jets but are still two behind the Chiefs. Don’t look now, but the Broncos also got a win this week against the Buffalo Bills. At 4-5, they remain only one behind a potential playoff position.

    NFC East

The Eagles look to be in elite form entering their bye, but the Cowboys are a talented football team capable of winning the division; they’ll just need some help down the stretch. The two teams squared off against one another in Week 9 — with Philly coming out on top and extending their lead to 2.5 games atop the division.

    NFC North

The Lions have looked like one of the better teams in the NFC this season. However, don’t look now, as the Vikings have put together an impressive win streak and are 6-4. After losing Kirk Cousins for the season, many planted the flag in the team’s season. But Josh Dobbs was acquired at the deadline and revitalized the team’s playoff chances.

    NFC South

The NFC South is a mixed bag right now, and it could be anyone’s division in 2023. Last season, the Buccaneers made it to the playoffs with a losing record. This year, three teams hover around the .500 mark.

This division promises to be an exciting finish, with it looking like a three-team race for the title, even if the winner could end up below .500 once again.

    NFC West

What at one point looked like a division that the 49ers would run away with now looks to be much tighter. The Seahawks had overtaken the top spot after three straight San Francisco losses. However, Seattle’s Week 9 loss saw them drop below the 49ers due to a superior division record.

This promises to be a fun race to the end, with both making the playoffs in some way or fashion.
