Tom Brady has been involved in the NFL world since 2000, even after retiring in 2022 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The NFL icon is all set to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, and he has plans in motion to revitalize the franchise.
The Raiders have been struggling on both sides of the ball this season, but Brady has plans to change that soon with a change in the head coaching department.
Raiders’ New Owner Tom Brady Wants To Make Coaching Changes
After 17 months, the NFL finally agreed to Brady’s bid to purchase the Raiders on Oct. 15. The NFL’s meeting in Atlanta confirmed the ownership.
In a statement, the seven-time Super Bowl winner stated that he is humbled and excited about this new era in his life. However, behind the scenes, Brady is ready to make moves.
As per NFL journalist Kirk Minihane, Brady wants his former New England Patriots head coach to lead the Raiders.
“I won’t get specific, people have told me that Tom Brady’s first move is going to ask Bill Belichick if he’s interested in being coach of the Las Vegas Raiders,” said Minihane on his podcast.

“Two sources have told me that,” added Minihane. “Two high-ups in the Patriots organization have told me that.”
Brady and Bill Belichick played together for 20 years before the 15-time Pro Bowler departed for Florida in 2020.
Belichick and the Patriots parted ways earlier this year. The 72-year-old is yet to nail down a coaching job, however — though it’s not due to lack of trying.
Meanwhile, current Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce has been unable to take the team to winning ways, starting this season with a 2-4 record.
How Much of the Raiders Does Tom Brady Own?
Despite the confirmed ownership, there is no word from any of the official parties as to how much of the stake has been sold to Brady.
One NFL insider at the meeting reported that Raiders owner Mark Davis is selling 10.5% equity in the franchise.
“Here at the NFL’s Fall Meeting, one of the last agenda items is the sale of a piece of the Raiders—Roughly 5% going to Tom Brady, 5% to Brady’s business partner Tom Wagner, and 0.5% going to Brady’s ex-teammate Richard Seymour, I’m told,” tweeted Senior NFL Reporter Albert Breer.

Vote should happen late afternoon.

According to Forbes, the Raiders are valued at $6.7 billion. If the 47-year-old Brady paid the market price for his stake, he would have to part with $335 million.
