Shedeur Sanders is one of the best and the most hyped-up players in the 2025 NFL Draft and is expected to be among the highest picks. Some of the teams most talked about when it comes to Sanders’ landing spot are the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and Las Vegas Raiders, as they sit inside the top 10 of the NFL Draft order.
However, the Giants are in a prime position to take Sanders, both in terms of the order of the draft and the team’s needs. Could New York be a landing spot for the high-profile Sanders?

NFL Reporter Offers Insight Into Giants’ Process With Shedeur Sanders
In one of his latest reports, New York Post reporter Paul Schwartz discussed where the Giants’ front office stands when it comes to potentially picking Sanders in this year’s draft.
The Giants desperately need a quarterback, and Sanders can be the answer; however, the Colorado quarterback’s father, Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Deion Sanders, is the only coach ever to lead the Colorado QB.
Schwartz wrote that there is no doubt that the Giants are interested in the Buffaloes star. However, they will consider the fact that he is the son of his famous father, which means a lot of attention for the team and their quarterback.
The NFL analyst highlighted how it could become a concern if Sanders joins the Giants and loses the first couple of games as a rookie starter. Will Coach Prime make condescending statements towards the team, blaming the offensive line or the playcalling?
“There is no doubt the Giants are intrigued with Shedeur Sanders. They will explore the dynamic with his famous father, Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. There is a concern that Shedeur has been coached by his father since high school, and the Giants saw firsthand the video-centric, everything-gets-documented ecosystem created at Colorado and the spotlight that both father and son seem to crave,” Schwartz wrote.
“If, for instance, the Giants lose their first two games with Shedeur as the rookie starter, does Deion send missives from Boulder questioning the offensive line or a dropped pass or the play calling? This all has to be explored as deeply as possible.”

In a conversation with Sportskeeda, Ian Rapoport also discussed how the team that drafts Sanders will always have the possibility of bringing Coach Prime in as a head coach to coach his son again.
However, Rapoport did mention that Coach Prime loves Colorado and would only leave if it was the perfect opportunity for him to coach in the NFL.
