NFL Referee Assignments Week 14: Refs Assigned for Sunday and Monday Games

    Published on

What are the NFL referee assignments for Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season? Which referees will be in charge of the prime-time games this week?

NFL referee Brad Allen and his crew were a main part of the storyline for the final minute of the Green Bay Packers win over the Kansas Chiefs. There was a lot of discussion about a late hit called when QB Patrick Mahomes was running out of bounds and a pass attempt where the Chiefs wanted pass interference called on Green Bay. Fans will be watching how Allen’s crew performs this week.

We have 14 other crews working this week, so let’s look at the Week 14 NFL referee assignments.

After last week’s Chiefs-Packers ending, Brad Allen and his crew have been assigned the Houston Texans-New York Jets game. They have called 10.73 penalties per game — the fewest by a crew in the league. This crew had another notable Sunday night game earlier this year when the Miami Dolphins had 10 penalties and the Philadelphia Eagles had zero in Philadelphia’s Week 7 win.

The NFC East showdown between the Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will have John Hussey and his crew officiating the game. The Eagles have been called for 5.4 penalties per game, the sixth-fewest in the league. Dallas has the second most penalties called against them, with 7.5 per game. Hussey and his crew lead the NFL with 13.64 penalties per game, a fraction higher than three other crews.

Each season, officials are assigned to referees from the NFL’s officiating roster. You can see the full crews for the 2023 season in our handy guide.
