    NFL Referee Assignments for Wild Card Weekend: Who Will be Calling the Shots this Weekend?

    The NFL has unveiled its officiating crews for the 2024-25 Wild Card Playoffs, marking the fifth season of the expanded playoff format. Therefore, the postseason will have six Wild Card games scheduled, and the referees assigned will bring a mix of experience and fresh faces to the postseason stage.

    NFL Wild Card Weekend Referee Assignments

    Each officiating team will bring on a mix of on-field officials and alternates to create a robust system to handle the high-stakes atmosphere of the playoffs. Alternate officials remain eligible for assignments in later playoff rounds, including the Divisional and Conference Championships. However, they are ineligible for on-field Super Bowl roles unless they serve as alternates.

    The Wild Card games are spread over three days, starting Saturday with AFC, where the Chargers will face the Texans, and the Steelers will face the Ravens subsequently.

    Los Angeles Chargers at Houston Texans (Saturday, 4:30 p.m. ET)
