Which officiating crew had the most penalties in Week 1?
In terms of which officiating crew threw the most penalty flags in Week 1, the dubious honor belongs to Scott Novak’s crew. The game between the Falcons and Eagles had a total of 27 flags thrown, with 26 penalties accepted.
The second highest was Shawn Hochuli’s group on Thursday Night Football, with 19 penalties on 24 flags. Therefore, based on the Week 1 performance of Novak’s crew, we could be set for another TNF full of flags given the NFL ref assignments for Week 2.
