The 2023 NFL season has just one game remaining, the Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. Before that, however, there’s Pro Bowl week.
The current Pro Bowl has two days of events, the first being the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown. What’s everything you need to know to watch?
What’s To Know for the NFL Pro Bowl Skills Showdown?
The NFL’s 2024 Pro Bowl Games will be the second edition of the event since 2023. Before the change, it had been the Pro Bowl since 1951. The event’s skills showdown has stayed, but the full-contact game was exchanged in favor of three flag football games.
Until 2007, the Pro Bowl Skills Challenge was held every year in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2024, the event is taking place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. It was also changed to a more condensed format called the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown in 2017.
The 2024 version of the event will air nationally on ESPN. Additionally, it can be streamed on ESPN+, Fubo, and DAZN (Canada). Fubo offers a free trial that fans can use to try before they buy.

The events will take place on Thursday, Feb. 1, as well as Sunday, Feb. 4. On Thursday, the event will begin at 7 p.m. ET to 8:30 p.m. with the first six skill competitions. Sunday, on the other hand, will feature the remaining four skills challenges as well as the flag football games from 3 p.m. ET to 6 p.m.
Thursday’s events will include Precision Passing, Best Catch, Closest to the Pin, High Stakes, Dodgeball, and Snap Shots. The event will not be a public event to attend, as opposed to Sunday, when fans will be in attendance. Additionally, the Best Catch and Closest to the Pin events feature pre-recorded content around Orlando.
Sunday’s events, on top of the flag football games, will feature Kick-Tac-Toe, Tug-Of-War, Gridiron Gauntlet, and Move the Chains. Additionally, there is a Madden NFL Head-to-Head. Kick-Tac-Toe and the Madden NFL Head-to-Head will be pre-recorded.
