Amazingly, only five of their teams wound up winning the Super Bowl.

    Tony Dorsett

Tony Dorsett won the Heisman Trophy and National Championship at Pittsburgh in 1976. He was part of the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl 12 win over the Denver Broncos 27-10.

    Marcus Allen

Marcus Allen got his National Championship first in 1978 at USC. His Heisman Trophy came three years later in 1981. Then, Allen won Super Bowl 18 MVP in a blowout 38-9 win over Washington three years after that, rushing for 191 yards and two touchdowns.

    Charles Woodson

Charles Woodson won the Heisman Trophy and National Championship the same year in 1997 at Michigan. He didn’t get his Super Bowl win until deep into his NFL career as part of the Green Bay Packers team that defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 in Super Bowl 45.

    Reggie Bush

Reggie Bush racked up the collegiate accolades. He won two National Championships with USC in 2003 and 2004. He then won the Heisman Trophy in 2005. Although Bush’s NFL career didn’t live up to the hype, he was a meaningful member of the New Orleans Saints’ 31-17 Super Bowl 44 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

    DeVonta Smith

DeVonta Smith won the National Championship in 2017 and 2020 at Alabama. He also won the Heisman in 2020. Smith became the latest addition to this list as a key member of the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl 59 blowout victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22.
