Holland S Miami isn't expected to place a franchise tag on Holland, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/jevon-holland-15196 MIA 4hr ago
Holland continued to play a key role for the Dolphins last season, starting in all 15 games in which he played. However, the free safety finished with a career-low 62 tackles and didn't record an interception for the first time since coming into the league in 2021. If Miami indeed declines to put a franchise tag on him, Holland will become a free agent.

Darnold QB The Vikings aren't expected to place a franchise tag on Darnold, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/sam-darnold-12490 MIN 4hr ago
Darnold broke through with a career-best season in 2024, registering a 35:12 TD:INT while throwing for 4,319 yards and completing 66.2 percent of his pass attempts over 17 regular-season games. However, he struggled in a Week 18 loss to the Lions that cost Minnesota a first-round playoff bye, throwing for just 166 yards, then had a subpar performance in the team's NFC wild-card loss to the Rams, throwing for 245 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Darnold joined the Vikings on a one-year contract last March, so he's slated to be a free agent and has drawn interest from the Giants and the Raiders, among other teams. However, Schefter notes that Minnesota remains interested in re-signing Darnold.

Godwin WR The Buccaneers aren't planning to use the franchise tag on Godwin (ankle), Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/chris-godwin-11718 TB 7hr ago
Tampa Bay has already used the tag on Godwin twice, so using it again would result in a 144 percent raise, Laine notes. She also states that the Buccaneers want Godwin back and that the wideout wants to return to the club, so there appears to be a mutual desire to get a new deal completed. Godwin ended last season on IR due to an ankle injury that he suffered in mid-October, but he's expected to be ready for the start of next season, which will be his ninth in the NFL -- all of which to this point have been with Tampa Bay.

Rogers TE Rogers tore his Achilles tendon while training Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/armani-rogers-16362 BUF 10hr ago
The 27-year-old inked a reserve/futures deal with the Bills in January, but it now appears he won't have the opportunity to compete for a roster spot in 2025. Rogers' only in-game NFL experience came in 2022 with the Commanders, when he appeared in 11 regular-season games and caught five of his six targets for 64 yards. With Rogers out for the foreseeable future, the Bills' tight end room currently consists of Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid and Zach Davidson.

Cappa OG The Bengals released Cappa on Monday.
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/alex-cappa-12851 10hr ago
The veteran from Humboldt State served as one of Cincinnati's top offensive linemen since signing with the team in 2022, starting all 50 regular-season games he appeared in. Cappa was likely a cap casualty, as the Bengals are expected to try and retain several key free agents this summer, including B.J. Hill, Trent Brown and Mike Hilton. The 30-year-old offensive lineman is expected to be a sought-after player on the free-agent market.
Analysis
Turner WR The Raiders decided to not tender Turner (knee) on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/dj-turner-15533 LV 10hr ago
Turner missed Las Vegas' final five games of the 2024 season due to a knee injury that landed him on injured reserve. However, he was fairly productive when on the field, catching 16 of his 29 targets for 158 yards and one touchdown. The Pittsburgh product also added five carries for 33 yards and one touchdown on the ground last season, playing 162 offensive snaps across 12 appearances. Fowler reported that the Raiders are open to bringing Turner back to Las Vegas, but only at a price lower than the tender.

Slay CB The Eagles announced they are releasing Slay on Monday, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/darius-slay-8647 PHI 10hr ago
Philadelphia has yet to officially release the former All-Pro cornerback, but the move is expected to take place after June 1, as it saves the Eagles roughly $4.3 million in cap space, per McManus. The 34-year-old was likely a cap casualty, as the team needs space to retain several key free agents from its 2025 Super Bowl win, including Zack Baun, Mekhi Becton, Milton Williams and Josh Sweat. Slay remained relatively productive during his final two seasons in Philadelphia, recording 106 total tackles and 28 passes defended, including two interceptions, over 26 regular-season appearances. Once his release becomes official, he's likely to sign with a team in need of veteran leadership and secondary help.
Analysis
McDuffie LB The Packers signed McDuffie to a two-year, $8.0 million deal Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/isaiah-mcduffie-15255 GB 10hr ago
McDuffie, a 2021 sixth-round pick from Boston College, will remain in Green Bay after spending the first four years of his career with the Packers. Under his new contract, he can earn up to $9.5 million if he reaches all incentives. The 25-year-old has played 1,150 defensive snaps and appeared in 33 regular-season games over the last two seasons, recording 183 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, four passes defended and one forced fumble. McDuffie will likely serve as the Packers' top backup inside linebacker again in 2025, playing behind Quay Walker and Edgerrin Cooper.
Analysis
Higgins WR Higgins announced Monday via his personal social media accounts that the Bengals have informed him he will receive the franchise tag.
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/tee-higgins-14506 CIN 12hr ago
Cincinnati will place the franchise tag on Higgins for a second consecutive offseason, positioning him to play out the 2025 campaign on a one-year, $26.17 million contract unless both sides can reach agreement on a long-term extension by July 15. The move prevents Higgins from hitting free agency at the start of the new league year next week, as he would have been arguably the top available player on the open market. The Bengals have expressed a commitment in retaining the 26-year-old wideout via a long-term deal, motivated no doubt in part by Joe Burrow's public statements that he desires Higgins, Ja'Marr Chaseand pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson kept together as a headline trio. Higgins posted a 73-911-10 receiving line despite playing just 12 regular-season games in 2024.
