NFL Draft experts predict Colorado's stars, Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, will be among the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Colorado Buffaloes stars Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders visited the Kansas City Chiefs’ stadium, Arrowhead, ahead of their clash against the Kansas Jayhawks in Week 13 of college football action. The duo is poised to head to the NFL via the 2025 NFL Draft, and speculation around which teams will pick the projected top picks is at an all-time high.

Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders Mocked as Top Picks

During this week’s episode of the “Gojo and Golic” show, draft expert Matt Miller predicted that the Colorado duo of Hunter and Sanders would make Buffaloes history as the No. 1 and No. 2 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

“They’re spectacular players, and they deserve to be at the top. This is not about the hype of Coach Prime or any of that, these are really, really good football players. … But Coach Prime is going to be very influential in where ‘his guys’ land. … From a football perspective, [Shedeur Sanders] is what the [New York Giants] need,” Miller said.

Travis Hunter Reveals Intention To Be Two-Way Player in NFL

ESPN’s draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. revealed in his draft analysis article that Hunter is expected to be the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft while mocking Sanders to be the first quarterback off the board and the No. 7 overall prospect in the draft.

During a call with the media this week, Hunter confirmed his decision to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft while revealing that he hoped to continue playing both ways in the NFL.

“That’s definitely for sure. It’s never been done,” Hunter said of playing two positions full-time in the modern NFL. “I understand that it will be a high risk, [teams] don’t want their top pick to go down too early and I know they’re going to want me to be in a couple packages. But I believe I can do it. Nobody has stopped me from doing it thus far. I like when people tell me I can’t do it.”

Hunter has shown excellence on both sides of the ball as he has led Colorado to bowl eligibility for the first time in eight years and a remarkable 8-2 season so far with a chance to compete for the Big 12 championship.

He has tallied 911 receiving yards on 74 receptions, resulting in nine touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball while registering eight pass breakups, three interceptions, one forced fumble, and 23 total tackles on the defensive side of the ball. His excellence on both sides of the ball has made him the favorite for the prestigious Heisman Trophy and accounts for his status as the projected top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
