Deion Sanders Reveals Why the Postseason Matchup Is Important

Dec 28th will be quite significant for Coach Prime in his career because it will be his first Bowl game as a head coach, and will feature one final matchup with his sons after transferring from Jackson State in 2023. While talking to reporters on Thursday, Sanders mentioned that no one expected his team to reach these heights.

“Neither of us was supposed to be here. We’re supposed to be focusing on recruiting and improving our rosters, but we’re here. We’re happy about it, and we’re not going to take this for granted. This is a blessing,” Sanders said candidly.

“And like when you want to go outside of this stuff and you look in, you want to get there, you’re like, dang, then you get to bowl. You don’t want to play in something you thrive to do? Do you know how many people wish they could be in our situation? So we’re going to take full advantage of it. All these kids are playing. All our kids are playing.

“We’re going to play our toughest and our hardest game. This is not just a routine. This is a game that both of us want us to win. So we’re taking a series because we were predicted not to be here by some of you wonderful folks,” he added.

Shedeur and Shilo Sanders Will Play in Colorado Jerseys One Last Time

From HBCU to all the way to Boulder, Sanders had his two sons by his side. They played a crucial role in lifting the brand value of the program not just with their football skills but also the social media marketing and insane fan following. Now, the time has come when both these players take their talents to the next level in the NFL.

Shedeur and Shilo will have their last game in Colorado jerseys against BYU. It will likely be an emotional and proud moment for Coach Prime to have laid the foundation of a new beginning at Colorado with lots of transfers and high school standouts making their commitments in hopes of winning.
