Myles Garrett set the football world on notice with his trade request. The former Defensive Player of the Year is set to command a high price in the open market.
One of the contenders that has emerged to sign Garrett in the offseason is the Philadelphia Eagles. NFL insider Dan Graziano believes that general manager Howie Roseman could overpay to acquire Garrett’s services.

Howie Roseman Set To Overpay To Bring Myles Garrett to the Eagles
Roseman has made a name for himself in the NFL executive world for being a shrewd and tactical operator. Philadelphia’s success over the last decade has often been credited to Roseman, and ESPN’s Graziano believes Roseman is ready to work his magic again.
During Graziano’s appearance on ESPN’s “Get Up,” he suggested that Philadelphia could use all the resources at its disposal to bring Garrett from the Cleveland Browns.
“I think this would fit really well with what the Eagles do and how Howie Roseman operates right, paying a premium price for a premium player,” he said.
“As opposed to sort of overpaying, you know, like pay more than you think the market is worth for Josh Sweat, just to keep him, right? You overpay to get a guy that can make a difference [Garrett], that’s what they did with Saquon Barkley, and they’ve done it with others.”

Aidan Hutchinson Wants Garrett in Detroit
The Eagles aren’t the only ones looking to bring the 29-year-old into their fold. Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson has already planted the idea of playing together in Garrett’s mind.
“If me and Myles were to pair up that would be — that would be deadly,” Hutchinson said on “The Squeeze” podcast.
“I was talking to him, and we were at the [NFL] Honors, and we were just talking about what could be. You know? And although it’s probably unlikely, I think I would be thrilled to play next to him if it were to happen.”

“But I mean our whole D-line would be just totally elevated. That’d be a scary defensive line. And we get along too. I’ve seen him these last few years at different things. He texted me after I got hurt, which, I don’t know, it was just a cool thing,” Hutchinson continued.
“Like guys outside of your own team who reach out to you. So, I think he’s a good dude. If he does, great, but I don’t know. We’ll see. But that would be awesome.”
