NFL Week 5 Injury Tracker
Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills
- Jaguars: WR Zay Jones, QUESTIONABLE (knee); WR Jamal Agnew, QUESTIONABLE (quad); WR Parker Washington, OUT (knee); EDGE Dawuane Smoot, OUT (Achilles); DT Folorunso Fatukasi, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); LB Devin Lloyd, OUT (thumb); CB Christian Braswell, OUT (hamstring); S Antonio Johnson, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring)
- Bills: EDGE Von Miller, QUESTIONABLE (knee); EDGE Greg Rousseau, OUT (foot); CB Tre’Davious White, OUT (Achilles); CB Christian Benford, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder)
Jaguars: Jones and Agnew were both sidelined for Jacksonville’s first London game, but practicing this week — even on a limited basis — gives them a chance at playing on Sunday. Head coach Doug Pederson is “optimistic” Jones will be able to suit up.
The Jaguars have opened the 21-day practice window for Smoot, who is still on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and won’t play despite practicing. Lloyd didn’t even make the trip across the pond and won’t play this week.
Bills: Miller returned to practice this week for the first time since tearing his ACL last Thanksgiving. After designating him to return from IR, the Bills have 21 days to activate the future Hall of Famer to their 53-man roster.
Miller suggested on his podcast this week that he’s ready to play, and the 34-year-old will make the trip to London ahead of Week 5, according to NFL Network. He told ESPN Friday it’s a “safe bet” he’ll be available against the Jaguars on Sunday.

Buffalo will need Miller’s services with Rousseau sidelined by a foot injury. Rousseau, who managed eight sacks in 2022, has three sacks and 11 pressures through four games this year.
White is expected to head to injured reserve after tearing his Achilles last week.
Houston Texans at Atlanta Falcons
- Texans: WR John Metchie III, QUESTIONABLE (illness); OT Laremy Tunsil, QUESTIONABLE (knee); G Josh Jones, OUT (hand); DT Maliek Collins, QUESTIONABLE (abdomen); LB Christian Harris, OUT (concussion); LB Jake Hansen, QUESTIONABLE (neck); CB Shaquil Griffin, QUESTIONABLE (calf)
- Falcons: No injuries of note
Texans: Houston’s offensive line should finally see a few starters return in Week 5. Tunsil has been sidelined since Week 1 but managed a full practice Friday. And right tackle Tytus Howard — designated to return after a four-week stint on IR — practiced fully all week.
Metchie is questionable with an illness, but it’d be surprising if he missed Sunday’s game after getting in a full Friday practice session.
Falcons: Atlanta does not have a single player on its injury report heading into Week 5.
Carolina Panthers at Detroit Lions
- Panthers: TE Stephen Sullivan, OUT (hip); CB Donte Jackson, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); S Xavier Woods, OUT (hamstring)
- Lions: RB Jahmyr Gibbs, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); FB Jason Cabinda, OUT (knee); WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, DOUBTFUL (abdomen); WR Josh Reynolds, QUESTIONABLE (groin); TE James Mitchell, DOUBTFUL (out); OT Taylor Decker, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); G Halapoulivaati Vaitai, QUESTIONABLE (knee); EDGE Julian Okwara, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); CB Emmanuel Moseley, QUESTIONABLE (knee/hamstring); CB Brian Branch, OUT (ankle); S Kerby Joseph, QUESTIONABLE (hip)
Panthers: Wednesday marked Corbett’s first practice since tearing his ACL in Carolina’s 2022 season finale. The Panthers could desperately use the help up front, but Corbett seems unlikely to play until after the club’s Week 7 bye.
Lions: St. Brown has been banged up this season but has not missed any game action. But he failed to practice all week and is now listed as doubtful for Week 5. ASRB seemed confident earlier this week that he’d be available for Sunday’s game, but his injury designation tells a different story.
Gibbs was a Friday addition to Detroit’s injury report after limited practice. David Montgomery could see even more work if he can’t play, while Craig Reynolds would likely mix in.
Meanwhile, the Lions are “hopeful” Branch will be available for the club’s Week 6 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts
- Titans: WR Treylon Burks, OUT (knee); OT Nicholas Petit-Frere, OUT (non-injury related); DT Teair Tart, OUT (knee); LB Luke Gifford, OUT (hamstring)
- Colts: RB Jonathan Taylor, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); T Bernhard Raimann, OUT (concussion); EDGE Kwity Paye, OUT (concussion); LB Shaquille Leonard, OUT (groin)
Titans: Burks missed Tennessee’s Week 4 win against the Cincinnati Bengals and won’t play on Sunday after failing to practice all week. Tart had been listed on the Titans’ recent injury reports with a toe problem, but a new knee issue will knock him out of Week 5.
Petit-Frere’s six-game sports betting suspension was recently reduced to four games, but he still won’t play this week.
Wide receiver Kyle Phillips (knee), who spent the first four games of the season on IR, was a full practice participant this week and could play on Sunday. First-round left guard Peter Skoronski missed the past three games after undergoing an appendectomy, but he practiced fully this week.
Colts: Indianapolis hasn’t announced whether running back Taylor — practicing for the first time this year after a four-game PUP list stint — will play on Sunday, but the Titans are preparing as if he’ll suit up.
Taylor is officially questionable, and Colts head coach Shane Steichen said, “We’ll see” when asked whether Taylor will play. Indy would have to activate him from the PUP list this weekend.
Raimann and Paye couldn’t clear the NFL’s concussion protocol and have been officially ruled out for Week 5. Leonard also failed to practice this week and won’t face Tennessee on Sunday.
New York Giants at Miami Dolphins
- Giants: RB Saquon Barkley, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); OT Andrew Thomas, OUT (hamstring); G Shane Lemieux, OUT (groin); C John Michael Schmitz, OUT (shoulder); TE Daniel Bellinger, QUESTIONABLE (knee); LB Micah McFadden, QUESTIONABLE (ankle)
- Dolphins: C Connor Williams, QUESTIONABLE (groin); OL Robert Jones, OUT (knee); OL Lester Cotton, QUESTIONABLE (knee); EDGE Jaelan Phillips, QUESTIONABLE (oblique); CB Nik Needham, OUT (Achilles)
Giants: New York has a lengthy injury report following its embarrassing Monday night loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Barkley, who missed the past two weeks with an ankle sprain, has practiced in a limited capacity this week. He wouldn’t guarantee a Sunday return, and Giants head coach Brian Daboll suggested Barkley could be a game-time decision. The veteran RB is officially questionable for Week 5’s matchup.
New York’s offensive line remains a concern after allowing 11 sacks in Week 4. None of Thomas, Lemieux, or Schmitz will play this week after failing to practice. Evan Neal and Marcus McKethan were limited at practice, but Daboll expects them to suit up on Sunday.
Dolphins: Like New York, Miami also got beat down in Week 4, and they also have the injury report to show for it.
The Dolphins will be without Terron Armstead for at least four games after placing him on IR on Friday. Armstead has been banged up all season and suffered a new knee injury against the Bills on Sunday.

— Adam Beasley (@AdamHBeasley) October 4, 2023
Luckily, Armstead was the only injured Dolphin who failed to practice this week. Every other Miami player listed managed at least a limited session, including Williams and Phillips, who missed Sunday’s game.
Hunt (IR) and Needham (PUP) returned to practice Wednesday after sitting out the first four games of the year, but Miami will hold off their season debut for at least one more week. Running back Jeff Wilson Jr. is still on IR with hand and midsection injuries and has not yet come back to practice.
New Orleans Saints at New England Patriots
- Saints: QB Derek Carr, QUESTIONABLE (right shoulder); TE Juwan Johnson, OUT (calf); OT Landon Young, OUT (hip); G James Hurst, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); G Andrus Peat, QUESTIONABLE (concussion); CB Paulson Adebo, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); S Lonnie Johnson, OUT (hamstring)
- Patriots: RB Rhamondre Stevenson, QUESTIONABLE (thigh); OT Trent Brown, QUESTIONABLE (chest); OT Riley Reiff, QUESTIONABLE (knee); G Cole Strange, QUESTIONABLE (knee); EDGE Matthew Judon, OUT (elbow); EDGE Trey Flowers, QUESTIONABLE (foot); DT Christian Barmore, QUESTIONABLE (knee); DT Davon Godchaux, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); CB Jonathan Jones, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); CB Shaun Wade, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); CB Christian Gonzalez, OUT (shoulder); S Cody Davis, QUESTIONABLE (knee)
Saints: Carr has been limited this week after playing through an AC joint sprain in Week 4. Assuming he doesn’t suffer a setback during the week, Carr should be able to suit up again on Sunday.
Juwan Johnson missed last week’s game after getting injured in warmups and will miss a second consecutive game. Adebo has been limited after sitting out Week 4 with a hamstring injury.
Patriots: Wednesday marked Stevenson’s first appearance on New England’s injury report this year. While he’s dealing with a thigh issue, there’s been no indication he’s in danger of missing Week 5. Still, Stevenson is questionable for Sunday.
Reiff, Flowers, and Davis returned to practice in a limited fashion on Wednesday after spending the season’s first four weeks on IR. The Patriots can activate any or all of them over the next three weeks.
Meanwhile, Judon and Gonzalez are expected to be placed on IR in the coming days. Judon will miss at least two months after tearing his biceps, while Gonzalez is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the season after suffering a torn labrum.
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers
- Ravens: RB Justice Hill, QUESTIONABLE (foot/hamstring); RB Keaton Mitchell, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); WR Odell Beckham Jr., QUESTIONABLE (ankle); OT Ronnie Stanley, QUESTIONABLE (knee); OT Morgan Moses, DOUBTFUL (shoulder); EDGE Odafe Oweh, OUT (ankle); CB Marlon Humphrey, QUESTIONABLE (foot); S Daryl Worley, OUT (shoulder)
- Steelers: TE Pat Freiermuth, OUT (hamstring); OT Dan Moore Jr., OUT (knee); G James Daniels, OUT (groin); EDGE Alex Highsmith, QUESTIONABLE (groin); DL DeMarvin Leal, OUT (concussion); P Pressley Harvin III, OUT (hamstring)
Ravens: Positive injury news in Baltimore? Now we’ve seen everything!
Beckham has been limited this week after missing two games with an ankle issue and expects to play in Week 5. Stanley (knee) hasn’t played since Week 1, but he fully practiced this week before resting on Friday and should return on Sunday.
Humphrey hasn’t played yet this season but returned for limited sessions this week. Safety Marcus Williams — originally believed to have potentially suffered a season-ending pectoral injury — fully practiced. And Mitchell, an undrafted rookie free agent, was back at practice after being designated to return from IR.
OF course, the Ravens are still dealing with a few issues. Moses appears unlikely to suit up and is expected to be replaced by either Patrick Mekari or Daniel Faalele at right tackle, while Oweh will miss his third straight game.
Steelers: Kenny Pickett was limited on Wednesday but upgraded to full practices on Thursday and Friday after suffering a knee injury in Week 4. He told reporters this week that he’ll “be ready to go” on Sunday and is not even listed on Pittsburgh’s final injury report.
Freiermuth is expected to miss multiple weeks after going down with a hamstring injury against the Texans.
Pittsburgh’s offensive line injuries are starting to become a problem. Daniels missed Sunday’s game, and Moore left with a knee issue — neither will play this week. First-round rookie Broderick Jones will make his first NFL start at left tackle, while Nate Herbig will man right guard for the second consecutive game.
Cincinnati Bengals at Arizona Cardinals
- Bengals: WR Tee Higgins, QUESTIONABLE (ribs); EDGE Trey Hendrickson, QUESTIONABLE (back); LB Akeem Davis-Gaither, OUT (knee); CB Chidobe Awuzie, QUESTIONABLE (back); CB Cam Taylor-Britt, QUESTIONABLE (concussion)
- Cardinals: RB Keaontay Ingram, QUESTIONABLE (neck); G Will Hernandez, QUESTIONABLE (back); OL Dennis Daley, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); DL Jonathan Ledbetter, OUT (finger); LB Josh Woods, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); CB Garrett Williams, OUT (knee)
Bengals: Joe Burrow is no longer listed on Cincinnati’s injury report, but Higgins — who has suggested he could still play in Week 5 despite fracturing a rib on Sunday — is. After sitting out earlier in the week, the contract-year WR was a limited Friday practice participant.
Head coach Zac Taylor said Friday that the Bengals will “sleep on it” before determining Higgins’ availability for this week. He’s questionable for now and could be a game-time decision.
"If it's bothering him, he hides it really well."@ByJayMorrison discusses Joe Burrow's calf injury on the PFN #Bengals Podcast. 🐅

Taylor-Britt was upgraded from DNP to limited on Thursday after suffering a head injury in Week 4. Awuzie — also limited — was a new addition to Cincinnati’s injury report on Thursday. On Friday, Taylor seemed more confident about CTB’s availability than Awuzie’s.
Hendrickson must have tweaked his back because he wasn’t listed on the Bengals’ injury report until sitting out of Friday’s practice.
Cardinals: Ingram popped up on Arizona’s injury report last Thursday and then sat out the Cardinals’ Week 4 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. If he can’t play in Week 5, undrafted rookie free agent Emari Demercado would again serve as Arizona’s RB2 behind James Conner.
Williams, the Cardinals’ third-round pick, has been on the non-football injury (NFI) list all season but returned to practice on Wednesday. He won’t make his NFL debut on Sunday but could see immediate action when he does, especially given the state of Arizona’s cornerback depth chart.
Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Rams
- Eagles: WR Britain Covey, QUESTIONABLE (concussion); G Cam Jurgens, OUT (foot); DT Fletcher Cox, OUT (back); DT Marlon Tuipulotu, OUT (triceps); S Sydney Brown, OUT (hamstring)
- Rams: OT Alaric Jackson, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); G Joe Noteboom, OUT (groin); DL Desjuan Johnson, DOUBTFUL (thumb)
Eagles: Jurgens could miss multiple weeks after suffering a foot injury in Week 4. Sua Opeta is likely to replace him at right guard.
Wide receiver Quez Watkins and safety Justin Evans, both of whom missed Philadelphia’s win over the Washington Commanders, have practiced fully this week.
Cox underwent an epidural injection procedure this week due to consistent back pain, according to NFL Network. He’s unlikely to be sidelined past Week 5.
Rams: Cooper Kupp practiced Wednesday for the first time since being placed on IR before Week 1. The veteran wideout had been pushing to play against the Eagles, and Sean McVay announced Friday that Los Angeles will activate Kupp in time for Week 5. He’s not even listed on the Rams’ injury report.

Elsewhere on the Rams’ offense, Matthew Stafford has been battling a hip issue but fully expects to play in Week 5 after fully practicing this week. Running back Kyren Williams (hip) also managed a full practice on Friday after a limited session on Thursday.
Jackson, L.A.’s starting left tackle, looks like a game-time decision for this week. If Jackson can’t play, rookie fifth-round pick Warren McLendon is expected to start on the blind side.
New York Jets at Denver Broncos
- Jets: OT Billy Turner, QUESTIONABLE (toe); OT Carter Warren, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); LB Sam Eguavoen, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); CB D.J. Reed, OUT (concussion); CB Brandin Echols, OUT (hamstring); S Jarrick Bernard-Converse, QUESTIONABLE (foot)
- Broncos: RB Javonte Williams, QUESTIONABLE (hip); C Lloyd Cushenberry, QUESTIONABLE (quad); DT Mike Purcell, QUESTIONABLE (ribs); EDGE Baron Browning, OUT (knee)
Jets: Robert Saleh has already ruled Reed and Echols out for Week 5, depriving New York of two of its top three outside cornerbacks. Gang Green could insert Bryce Hall into Reed’s starting spot, but slot CB Michael Carter II could also slide outside.
The Jets selected Warren and Bernard-Converse in April’s draft, but both have been on injured lists to begin their pro careers. They’ll have to be activated to New York’s 53-man roster in order to play on Sunday.
Broncos: Williams left Week 4 with a hip injury and was almost immediately ruled out. He was sidelined Wednesday before being upgraded to limited on Thursday and Friday and is now questionable for Week 5. Williams said he feels “pretty good” but didn’t commit to signing up on Sunday.
Browning is still on the PUP list but returned to practice on Wednesday. He won’t play this week, but edge rusher Frank Clark and safety Justin Simmons will return after multi-game absences.
Kansas City Chiefs at Minnesota Vikings
- Chiefs: OT Wanya Morris, QUESTIONABLE (hip); DT Matt Dickerson, QUESTIONABLE (knee); LB Nick Bolton, QUESTIONABLE (ankle)
- Vikings: QB Nick Mullens, QUESTIONABLE (back); EDGE Marcus Davenport, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); LB Brian Asamoah II, QUESTIONABLE (toe); S Lewis Cine, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring)
Chiefs: Bolton has been sidelined for two games but appears ready to return in Week 5 after getting in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday.
Vikings: Like Kansas City, Minnesota is remarkably healthy entering Sunday. All the Vikings’ injured players managed at least limited practices this week and are trending toward playing in Week 5.
Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers (SNF)
- Cowboys: TE Peyton Hendershot, OUT (ankle); LB Damone Clark, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder)
- 49ers: RB Elijah Mitchell, OUT (knee); OL Jon Feliciano, QUESTIONABLE (concussion)
Cowboys: Tyron Smith and Zack Martin returned to practice after getting a veteran rest day on Wednesday. With everyone healthy, Dallas should have its intended starting offensive line on the field together for the first time in two seasons.

Micah Parsons and Malik Hooker were limited earlier this week but practiced fully on Friday and no longer have an injury designation for Sunday’s game.
49ers: Mitchell couldn’t play on Sunday and failed to practice this week. Jordan Mason and Tyrion-Davis Price will back up Christian McCaffrey in Week 5.
Deebo Samuel, Dre Greenlaw, Charvarius Ward, and other 49ers previously listed on the club’s injury report have since been removed and won’t carry designations for Sunday night.
Green Bay Packers at Las Vegas Raiders (MNF)
- Packers: RB Aaron Jones (hamstring); WR Christian Watson (hamstring); OT Zach Tom (knee); G Elgton Jenkins (knee); G Jon Runyan (groin/ankle); LB De’Vondre Campbell (ankle); CB Jaire Alexander (back); CB Eric Stokes (foot); S Rudy Ford (oblique); S Zayne Anderson (hamstring)
- Raiders: QB Jimmy Garoppolo (concussion); Davante Adams (shoulder); EDGE Maxx Crosby (knee); EDGE Malcolm Koonce (groin); CB Nate Hobbs (ankle); CB Jakorian Bennett (hamstring/shoulder); CB David Long (ankle)
Packers: Jones and Watson returned from multi-game injury absences in Week 4 and don’t appear to be in danger of missing Sunday’s game. They’ve been limited so far this week, but Green Bay is likely just managing their reps.
Runyan and Ford returned to practice on Friday after sitting out Thursday’s session, but Campbell and Anderson have failed to practice this week.
Raiders: After sitting out Week 4, Garoppolo cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and is expected to start against the Packers in Week 5. Aidan O’Connell, who filled in last week in a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, will head back to the bench.
Adams hasn’t practiced yet this week after injuring his shoulder on Sunday. He has an extra day to get ready with the Raiders playing on Monday night and said today he’s “getting better every day.”
