New York Jets at Minnesota Vikings (London)
- Jets: OT Morgan Moses, OUT (knee); DT Leki Fotu, DOUBTFUL (hamstring); LB C.J. Mosley, DOUBTFUL (toe)
- Vikings: TE T.J. Hockenson, OUT (knee)
Jets: Aaron Rodgers was gimpy in New York’s Week 4 loss to the Broncos, but the Jets never seemed overly concerned about his knee injury. Per ESPN’s Rich Cimini, Rodgers was only listed as limited on Wednesday because he missed Gang Green’s stretching period. He fully practiced Thursday and Friday and has no injury designation for Week 5.
Vikings: Minnesota opened Hockenson’s PUP return window on Friday, but he won’t play on Sunday. Hockenson tore his ACL and MCL in December and has been on the PUP list since the beginning of training camp.
The Vikings have a Week 6 bye following their trip across the pond. NFL Network reported that Minnesota may let Hockenson use his entire three-week return window before coming back. In that case, he’d return in Week 8 against the Rams.
Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears
- Panthers: WR Jalen Coker, QUESTIONABLE (foot); TE Ian Thomas, QUESTIONABLE (calf); G Robert Hunt, QUESTIONABLE (hip); C Andrew Raym, OUT (concussion); DT Shy Tuttle, QUESTIONABLE (foot); EDGE Charles Harris, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); LB Shaq Thompson, OUT (Achilles); LB Josey Jewell, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring/groin); CB Dane Jackson, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring)
- Bears: WR DeAndre Carter, QUESTIONABLE (ribs); G Teven Jenkins, QUESTIONABLE (ribs); DT Zacch Pickens, OUT (groin); CB Terell Smith, OUT (hip)
Panthers: WR Diontae Johnson (ankle) failed to practice on Wednesday because of an ankle injury. He returned for limited practices on Thursday and Friday and will not carry an injury designation into Week 5.
Carolina’s WR1 battled a groin injury heading into Week 4. Johnson didn’t participate last Thursday before returning for a limited Friday session and suiting up on game day.
Bears: Jenkins left Week 4 with a rib injury but could return as Chicago’s starting left guard on Sunday.
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
- Ravens: RB Rasheen Ali, QUESTIONABLE (neck); WR Deonte Harty, QUESTIONABLE (knee); G Andrew Vorhees, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); CB Arthur Maulet, OUT (knee/hamstring)
- Bengals: DT Sheldon Rankins, DOUBTFUL (hamstring); DT McKinnley Jackson, QUESTIONABLE (knee); EDGE Myles Murphy, QUESTIONABLE (knee); LB Germaine Pratt (ankle); CB Mike Hilton, QUESTIONABLE (knee)
Ravens: Ali and Maulet are returning from IR. Vorhees missed Week 4 but could return to start at left guard on Sunday.
Bengals: Cincinnati’s defensive line is getting healthier. B.J. Hill will return after missing two games, while Jackson and Murphy are both ready to suit up after spending the first four weeks of the season on IR.
Hilton never practiced this week but is still considered questionable for Sunday.
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots
- Dolphins: QB Skylar Thompson, QUESTIONABLE (ribs); WR Odell Beckham Jr., QUESTIONABLE (knee); CB Cam Smith, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); S Jordan Poyer, OUT (shin)
- Patriots: WR Kendrick Bourne, QUESTIONABLE (knee); WR K.J. Osborn, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); OT Vederian Lowe, QUESTIONABLE (knee); G Layden Robinson, QUESTIONABLE (ankle/wrist); G Mike Jordan, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); C Nick Leverett, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); EDGE Anfernee Jennings, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); LB Sione Takitaki, DOUBTFUL (knee); CB Jonathan Jones, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); CB Marcus Jones, QUESTIONABLE (groin); S Kyle Dugger, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); S Jabrill Peppers, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); S Marte Mapu, QUESTIONABLE (calf)
Dolphins: RB Raheem Mostert (chest) has practiced on a limited basis in each of the past two weeks but still hasn’t played. With another week of recovery, the veteran RB appears ready to suit up for Week 5. Mostert will not carry an injury designation into this week’s game.
Beckham put in his first practice as a Dolphin on Wednesday. Miami opened his 21-day return window from the PUP list, and he fully practiced all week. Head coach Mike McDaniel said Beckham could play with “modified usage” against the Pats.
The Dolphins also lost one of their best defensive players this week. Pass rusher Jaelan Phillips announced that he suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 4. Phillips, the Dolphins’ first-round pick in 2021, tore his Achilles in 2023 and missed nine games.
Patriots: Bourne practiced for the first time since tearing his ACL during the 2023 season. The veteran pass catcher was limited all week.
The Pats also placed starting center David Andrews on IR after he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury.
Cleveland Browns at Washington Commanders
- Browns: RB Nick Chubb, OUT (knee); RB Nyheim Hines, OUT (knee); RB Pierre Strong Jr., QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); TE David Njoku, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); OT Jack Conklin, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); OT Jedrick Wills Jr., QUESTIONABLE (knee); LB Jordan Hicks, OUT (ribs/elbow/triceps)
- Commanders: QB Marcus Mariota, QUESTIONABLE (chest); RB Brian Robinson Jr., QUESTIONABLE (knee); WR Noah Brown, OUT (groin); G Nick Allegretti, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); EDGE Clelin Ferrell, OUT (knee); EDGE Efe Obada, DOUBTFUL (tibia/fibula); LB Jordan Magee, DOUBTUFL (knee); S Percy Butler, QUESTIONABLE (groin); S Tyler Owens, QUESTIONABLE (shin)
Browns: Chubb returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a gruesome knee injury last September. He won’t play in Week 5, but Chubb is trending toward a midseason return.
Njoku also returned to practice this week and is questionable for Sunday’s game. He was limited on Wednesday before being downgraded to DNP on Thursday.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski said the plan was always for Njoku to practice on Wednesday and Friday before seeing how his high-ankle sprain responded. Njoku said he feels “pretty good” and hopes to face Washington this week but will defer to Cleveland’s coaching staff.
Commanders: Robinson didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday, a troubling sign for his availability on Sunday. In Week 4, he played 62% of Washington’s offensive snaps and took 21 carries for 101 yards and a score.
Robinson returned to practice on Friday, but his status for Week 5 remains up in the air. Head coach Dan Quinn said Robinson is trending in the right direction but indicated he will be a game-time decision.
Fellow RB Austin Ekeler missed Sunday’s win with a concussion but fully practiced on Thursday and Friday. He’s been cleared for Week 5 and could take over as the Commanders’ RB1 if Robinson can’t go, but Jeremy McNichols (68 yards and two TDs in Week 4) might’ve earned a role.
Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars
- Colts: QB Anthony Richardson, QUESTIONABLE (oblique); RB Jonathan Taylor, OUT (ankle); OT Braden Smith, QUESTIONABLE (knee); C Ryan Kelly, QUESTIONABLE (neck); EDGE Kwity Paye, OUT (quad); CB Kenny Moore II, OUT (hip)
- Jaguars: TE Evan Engram, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); EDGE Josh Hines-Allen, QUESTIONABLE (concussion); LB Devin Lloyd, QUESTIONABLE (knee); LB Yasir Abdullah, QUESTIONABLE (neck); S Darnell Savage, QUESTIONABLE (quad)
Colts: Head coach Shane Steichen said Richardson was feeling “much, much better” after suffering an oblique injury early in Week 4. The second-year QB managed limited practices throughout the week but is still questionable for Sunday. Veteran Joe Flacco will start for Indy if Richardson can’t suit up against Jacksonville.
Taylor did not practice this week and was officially ruled out on Friday. Indy reportedly believes Taylor’s sprain is relatively minor, but he needs at least one week of rest.
NFL Network reported Friday that Taylor is “likely to miss some time.” Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson will handle the Colts’ backfield workload.
Jaguars: Engram, who hasn’t played or practiced since suffering a hamstring injury in the season opener, was available for limited practice sessions all week. Head coach Doug Pederson suggested the veteran TE will be a game-time decision in Week 5.
Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans
- Bills: WR Khalil Shakir, OUT (ankle); DT Ed Oliver, OUT (hamstring); DT Austin Johnson, OUT (oblique); LB Terrel Bernard, QUESTIONABLE (pectoral); CB Taron Johnson, QUESTIONABLE (forearm); S Taylor Rapp, OUT (concussion)
- Texans: RB Joe Mixon, OUT (ankle); RB Dameon Pierce, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); WR Robert Woods, QUESTIONABLE (foot); OT Tytus Howard, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); EDGE Derek Barnett, OUT (shoulder); EDGE Jerry Hughes, OUT (hip); LB Jake Hansen, QUESTIONABLE (back)
Bills: Shakir — who leads Buffalo in targets, receptions, yards, and receiving touchdowns — was ruled out on Friday after failing to practice this week. With Shakir sidelined, the Bills will rely on a combination of Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, Mack Hollins, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling at wide receiver.
Oliver and Rapp won’t face the Texans, while pass rusher Von Miller is suspended for the next four games. On the plus side, Bernard and Johnson were back at practice (limited) after missing multiple weeks and could play on Sunday.
Texans: Mixon will not play on Sunday. He missed two games with a high-ankle sprain and didn’t practice this week. Mixon returned to practice last Friday and was listed as questionable for Week 4 but couldn’t go.
Pierce returned to practice on Friday, suggesting he could be ready to take over Houston’s backfield in Week 5. He hasn’t played since Week 1. Cam Akers and Dare Ogunbowale are in line to handle more touches if Pierce does not suit up on Sunday.
Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos
- Raiders: RB Zamir White, OUT (groin); WR Davante Adams, OUT (hamstring); WR Tyreik McAllister, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); TE Michael Mayer, OUT (personal); OT Thayer Munford Jr., OUT (knee/ankle); G Dylan Parham, QUESTIONABLE (Achilles); EDGE Maxx Crosby, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); LB Divine Deablo, QUESTIONABLE (oblique); LB Luke Masterson, OUT (knee); LB Kana’i Mauga, QUESTIONABLE (calf); CB Decamerion Richardson, OUT (hamstring); S Trey Taylor, OUT (groin)
- Broncos: RB Tyler Badie, OUT (back)
Raiders: Adams continued to sit out of practice amid repeated trade rumors. He appears to have played his last down in Las Vegas and could be moved soon. Even if Adams is still on the Raiders’ roster by Sunday, there’s little to no chance he’ll suit up.
White was limited on Wednesday but downgraded on Thursday, a troubling sign for his Week 5 availability. Although head coach Antonio Pierce suggested White would be doubtful for Sunday, White was ultimately ruled out. Pierce recently suggested that fellow RB Alexander Mattison had earned more touches alongside White.
Broncos: Badie suffered a frightening back injury in Week 4 and had to be stretchered off the field. Fortunately, Badie returned to Denver on a commercial flight with the rest of his teammates on Sunday evening.
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers
- Cardinals: OT Kelvin Beachum, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); OT Christian Jones, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); G Isaiah Adams, OUT (thumb); DT Khyiris Tonga, QUESTIONABLE (knee); CB Garrett Williams, OUT (groin); K Matt Prater, QUESTIONABLE (left knee)
- 49ers: WR Jacob Cowing, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); WR Chris Conley, DOUBTFUL (oblique); TE George Kittle, QUESTIONABLE (ribs); DT Kalia Davis, QUESTIONABLE (knee); EDGE Yetur Gross-Matos, OUT (knee); LB Fred Warner, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, OUT (calf); CB Isaac Yiadom, QUESTIONABLE (thigh)
Cardinals: TE Trey McBride was limited on Wednesday after missing Week 4 with a brain injury. He returned for a full practice on Thursday, indicating he’ll be ready for Sunday’s game. On Friday, head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed McBride will return for Week 5.
49ers: Kittle did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday while dealing with a rib injury but returned on Friday. He’s listed as questionable for Sunday, which at least gives him a chance to play. Kittle missed Week 3 after injuring his hamstring but returned in Week 4.
Green Bay Packers at Los Angeles Rams
- Packers: WR Christian Watson, DOUBTFUL (ankle); WR Romeo Doubs, DOUBTFUL (personal); TE Luke Musgrave, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); G Elgton Jenkins, QUESTIONABLE (knee); G Jordan Morgan, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder); DT Jonathan Ford, QUESTIONABLE (calf); DT Devonte Wyatt, OUT (ankle); LB Edgerrin Cooper, QUESTIONABLE (hip); CB Jaire Alexander, QUESTIONABLE (groin); CB Carrington Valentine, QUESTIONABLE (ankle)
- Rams: WR Cooper Kupp, OUT (ankle); DT Larrell Murchison, OUT (forearm)
Packers: Watson didn’t practice this week after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 4. Head coach Matt LaFleur said the Packers “dodged a bullet” with Watson’s injury and said the third-year WR would not be placed on IR. Still, he’s doubtful for Sunday’s game against Los Angeles.
Doubs missed two practices this week due to a personal matter. LaFleur labeled him “day to day,” but he’s doubtful for Week 5. Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks will likely be Green Bay’s starting wideouts, while Bo Melton is next up on the club’s depth chart.
Rams: Kupp has already missed two games with an ankle injury. Head coach Sean McVay ruled the veteran wide receiver out for Sunday’s game early this week, perhaps signaling that Kupp isn’t close to a return. His situation remains murky, but Los Angeles did not place him on IR.
New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks
- Giants: RB Devin Singletary, DOUBTFUL (groin); WR Malik Nabers, OUT (concussion); LB Matthew Adams, QUESTIONABLE (quad); CB Adoree’ Jackson, QUESTIONABLE (calf); CB Dru Phillips, QUESTIONABLE (calf)
- Seahawks: EDGE Boye Mafe, QUESTIONABLE (knee); DT Byron Murphy II, OUT (hamstring); DT Cameron Young, OUT (knee); S Julian Love, QUESTIONABLE (thigh)
Giants: Nabers posted another dominant performance for New York in Week 4, bringing in 12 of 15 targets for 115 yards before leaving Thursday night’s game with a concussion.
He never practiced this week and has been officially ruled out for Sunday’s game. It almost goes without saying that Nabers represents a tremendous loss for Big Blue. The first-round rookie leads the NFL in receptions and ranks second in receiving yards. No wideout has earned a larger share of his team’s targets this season than Nabers.
Singletary has also sat out of this week’s practices after picking up a groin injury in Week 4 and is considered doubtful for Sunday’s game. Fourth-round rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. is next on New York’s RB depth chart, while second-year RB Eric Gray could also be in the mix if Singletary can’t go.
Seahawks: While Seattle had skill position players like RB Kenneth Walker III (oblique); WR DK Metcalf (hand); WR Tyler Lockett, QUESTIONABLE (thigh); and TE Noah Fant (toe) on its injury report during the week, they’ve all been cleared to face the Giants.
Dallas Cowboys at Pittsburgh Steelers (SNF)
- Cowboys: WR Brandin Cooks, OUT (knee); EDGE Micah Parsons, OUT (ankle); LB Marist Liufau, QUESTIONABLE (quad); CB Trevon Diggs, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); CB Caelen Carson, QUESTIONABLE (shoulder)
- Steelers: QB Russell Wilson, QUESTIONABLE (calf); RB Jaylen Warren, OUT (knee); RB Cordarrelle Patterson, OUT (ankle); TE MyCole Pruitt, OUT (knee); DT Larry Ogunjobi, QUESTIONABLE (groin); EDGE Alex Highsmith, OUT (groin); EDGE Jeremiah Moon, QUESTIONABLE (ankle)
Cowboys: Cooks has an infection stemming from a knee operation he underwent last week and could conceivably miss more time beyond Week 5. Jalen Tolbert will step in as Dallas’ WR2 behind CeeDee Lamb.
Parsons never practiced this week while battling a high-ankle sprain. The Cowboys already placed fellow pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence (foot sprain) on injured reserve this week.
Steelers: Warren and Patterson both missed practice all week and will not play on Sunday. Pittsburgh signed fellow RB Aaron Shampklin — promoted from the practice squad in Week 4 — to its active roster this week.
Warren, typically the Steelers’ RB2 behind Najee Harris, never practiced last week and didn’t play. Patterson injured his ankle in the second quarter against the Colts and didn’t return.
New Orleans Saints at Kansas City Chiefs (MNF)
- Saints: RB Alvin Kamara (hip/ribs); TE Taysom Hill (rib); OT Taliese Fuaga (back); G Cesar Ruiz (knee); G Lucas Patrick (groin); C Shane Lemieux (ankle); DT Bryan Bresee (ankle); EDGE Payton Turner (knee); LB Demario Davis (hamstring); LB Willie Gay Jr. (hand)
- Chiefs: RB Kareem Hunt (shoulder); RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness); WR Mecole Hardman (knee); EDGE Mike Danna (calf)
Saints: Kamara has been listed as limited for two straight practices, but there’s been no suggestion he’ll be sidelined for Monday’s game. Fellow RB Kendre Miller (hamstring) is fully practicing after being designated to return from IR this week.
Hill missed Week 3, then scored two touchdowns in Week 4 before leaving with another injury. He joined Ruiz, Patrick, Lemieux, Turner, and Gay as Friday DNPs.
Chiefs: The Chiefs placed WR Rashee Rice on injured reserve this week. Head coach Andy Reid said Thursday that the Chiefs want to let Rice’s knee swelling abate before he undergoes additional testing. Rice was initially feared to have torn his ACL in Week 4, but his official diagnosis remains unclear.
Hunt was limited on Thursday and Friday. Kansas City opened Edwards-Helaire’s 21-day return window from the non-football injury list this week.
