As usual, each week of the NFL season has brought more injuries and concerns for teams, fans, and fantasy football managers in championship week. With several players questionable heading into Week 17, all eyes will be on Sunday’s NFL inactives for several reasons.
NFL Inactives for Week 17
Each week, teams may only dress 48 players, with added exceptions for quarterback and offensive line. You will see some list a QB as inactive and designate him as the “third quarterback” or “emergency quarterback,” meaning he can play if things get dire. Usually, teams will name between three and seven inactives, depending on roster size and practice-squad elevations.
