Week 1 of a new NFL season brings many unknowns, but we find out some of those unknowns when teams release their list of inactives 90 minutes ahead of kickoff. Whether it is due to injuries or tactical decisions, those inactives can give us some clarity over what to expect at the start of the new season.
NFL Inactives for Week 1
The announcement of NFL inactives is always intriguing. Each team is only allowed to dress 48 players, with some exceptions on quarterback and offensive line. However, that means teams usually have to designate between three to seven players as being inactive or “not dressing” for each week.
