Monday Night Football tonight will see a battle between two teams desperately in need of a victory as the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots battle in Foxborough. Ahead of the crucial matchup for both teams, let’s take a look at the NFL inactives for tonight’s game.
Additionally, let’s examine the extremely contrasting final injury reports for both teams as they finished their practices for the week on Saturday.
NFL Inactives for Monday Night Football
NFL rules dictate that teams can have a maximum of 48 players dress for each game. However, each roster will often have between 53 and 55 players active for any given week, depending on practice squad elevations for the week. Therefore, the remaining five to seven players must be designated as inactive.

Latest Bears and Patriots Injury Report
Bears Week 7 Injury Report
The Bears’ injury report in Week 7 had a somewhat miraculous look to it. Chicago did not list a single player on their injury report all week. With their entire roster healthy, the Bears have a full roster of options to choose from this week.
Patriots Week 7 Injury Report
The Patriots are not quite so lucky. While they did not rule any players out for Week 7, they listed 12 players as questionable. Of those 12, five of them were on the offense, with seven on the defense.
The most significant name listed as questionable from the offensive side of the ball is Mac Jones. As the Patriots’ QB continues to return from an ankle injury, he has a chance to play in Week 7. However, the solid performances of Bailey Zappe in the past couple of weeks means New England doesn’t need to rush Jones back until he is fully ready.
The other offensive players listed as questionable are Nelson Agholor (hamstring), Kendrick Bourne (toe), Mike Onwenu (ankle), and Isaiah Wynn (shoulder). All four of those would be expected to play a part in the game if active. Wynn, Onwenu, and Agholor are all listed as starters on the Patriots’ depth chart. The good news for the offense is that both RB Damien Harris (hamstring) and TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) were cleared to play in Week 7.
Defensively, there are also some important players listed as questionable. They have DL Christian Barmore (knee), DL Lawrence Guy (shoulder), LB Josh Uche (hamstring), LB Anfernee Jennings (calf), CB Jalen Mills (illness), CB Jonathan Jones (ankle), and CB Shaun Wade (illness) on the injury report this week.
Among those, Barmore, Guy, Jones, and Mills are all listed as starters. Jones missed the game last week, while Guy has missed the past three weeks. Uche is listed as the backup to pass rusher Matthew Judon and also missed last week’s game. Meanwhile, Wade is coming off making his 2022 season debut last week but was added to the injury report Friday with an illness.
