Week 17 of the NFL season concludes with a rematch of the NFC Championship Game, though the game isn’t as big of a highlight as it was going into the season. The Detroit Lions (13-2) are roaring and closing in on the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, which will come down to Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings.
On the other hand, the 49ers (6-9) find themselves out of the playoff hunt after injuries derailed their season. They’re playing for pride at this point.
As far as both teams’ injuries go, here’s the latest news.

Latest Injury Report News and Updates
The goal remains for running back David Montgomery (knee) to return for the Divisional Round of the playoffs. If Detroit can grab the No. 1 seed, they’ll have the first-round bye and increase the chances that Montgomery will be able to suit up again this season.
Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond remains out with a foot injury as the team just opened his 21-day practice window earlier in the week.
Guard Graham Glasgow will return after missing last week’s game with a knee injury. He was a full practice participant all week. Cornerback Terrion Arnold was also on the injury report this week after missing practice Thursday with an illness, but he returned to practice Friday and is good to go for Monday.
The 49ers, as they have been all season long, are riddled with injuries as well, part of the reason why the team is out of the playoff hunt at 6-9.
Five players have been ruled out, including OL Spencer Burford (calf), OG Aaron Banks (knee), LB Dre Greenlaw (Achilles), and DE Robert Beal (ankle). CB Charvarius Ward was downgraded to out on Sunday due to personal reasons.
