What Is the ‘NFL Holiday Remix’ Patch?

There is a new tradition beginning in 2024 where the NFL will roll out its holiday slate of games with Netflix as a streaming partner for live games. To further commemorate the occasion, the following “NFL Holiday Remix” patch will be donned on the competing teams’ jerseys.

A cool note about the logo patch is that it will appear for two sets of games, as the Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Pittsburgh Steelers will be playing on both Saturday, Dec. 21, and on Christmas Day, just four days later on Wednesday, Dec. 25.

The games on Dec. 21, when the Texans and Chiefs face off, as well as the Steelers and Ravens, will be broadcast on national television like normal prime-time games.

Netflix comes in to play on Christmas Day when the Chiefs play the Steelers and the Ravens square off with the Texans.

“The NFL on Christmas has become a holiday staple with families coming together to celebrate and watch NFL games,” said Tim Ellis, NFL executive vice president of marketing. “This year, we look forward to the start of a new holiday tradition with Netflix which will be seen around the world, and these holiday-inspired uniform patches are a great touch to mark this special occasion.”

Each game broadcast on Netflix on Christmas Day will be presented in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German exclusively to Netflix subscribers (outside of local markets).

Has the NFL Honored Any Other Initiatives This Season With a Patch?

Teams wear custom patches at their discretion and can change them however they like. However, it is important to mention that the league had the teams that played on Thanksgiving wear a John Madden patch on their jerseys.

Wearing a patch often shows gratitude to someone who left a huge mark on the game and is recognizable by generations of old from their time active, and Madden his name is on the most popular NFL video game that is out there still to this day!

It remains to be seen if there will be a candy cane coin for the Christmas games, but that would be really cool.

The NFL has been on an initiative the last few seasons about connecting moments that people are gathering for football, which is great because football and Thanksgiving are now synonymous with one another, for example.

Providing more opportunities to bring so many great memories for anyone who loves the game, and the camaraderie of Holiday Season is a win for the league and for fans everywhere.
