Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5) at Cleveland Browns (3-7)

    • Channel: FOX
    • Start time: 1 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, FOX Now

The first matchup on the Week 12 NFL games today schedule sees the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading to Cleveland for presumably the last Browns game quarterbacked by Jacoby Brissett this season. The Bucs have turned it on the last few weeks but still struggle to find momentum in the rushing attack.

Expect Brissett to attempt to give everything he’s got, as this could be his last chance to show what he can do for the Browns or other NFL franchises, whether that be in a starting or backup role.

The home underdog spot is very intriguing in this game. If a few of those three-point losses bounce the other way, people would have a different opinion of this squad.

Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) at Tennessee Titans (7-3)

    • Channel: CBS
    • Start time: 1 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: CBS All-Access, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV

Since becoming the Titans HC in 2018, Mike Vrabel is 8-0 against the spread when getting 10+ days of rest. Of every team this season, based on the injuries, the Titans’ 7-3 record may be the most impressive given the circumstances.

The Bengals are mediocre against the run, while the Titans bring in a top-ten rushing and scoring defense. Yes, the Bengals have an explosive offense. However, against a team that has found ways to win week in and out, expect Vrabel to have his guys do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Houston Texans (1-8-1) at Miami Dolphins (7-3)

    • Channel: CBS
    • Start time: 1 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: CBS All-Access, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV

Miami Vice stays in Hard Rock Stadium as the high-octane Dolphins’ offense plays its last home game before a three-week road stretch. They face off against a Texans team that seems to be continuously looking for answers about the long-term future.

Houston has benched 2021 third-round pick, Davis Mills, in favor of former Carolina and Washington QB Kyle Allen. That likely doesn’t change much, as Miami will look to take advantage of the Texans’ putrid rush defense.

Houston allows a league-high 179.9 rushing yards per game. Miami has to be salivating at this matchup after watching Jeff Wilson Jr. gash the Browns for 119 yards on 17 carries.

Chicago Bears (3-8) at New York Jets (6-4)

    • Channel: FOX
    • Start time: 1 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, FOX Now

The Zach Wilson era in New York has come to a pause. After the offense could only score three points against the Patriots in Week 11, Wilson did himself no favors in post-game interviews. Seemingly refusing to take any responsibility for any issues a week ago, the Jets figured it would be best to bench him this week just to “reset,” according to HC Robert Saleh.

Wilson won’t even be the backup as a Week 12 healthy scratch. Mike White takes over under center, with Joe Flacco backing him up. Meanwhile, the Bears might be making a change at QB, but this one is due to injury. Justin Fields told reporters Wednesday that he’s suffering from a broken shoulder with partially torn ligaments.

MORE: Is Zach Wilson Done in New York?

He’s been medically cleared to practice. However, he’s feeling most of his pain on his follow-through and is having issues handing off the ball. If Fields is forced to hand the ball off with his right hand, as he currently does with his left, he’s already said the chances of him starting are slim.

That would give Trevor Siemian his first start since Thanksgiving last year and make Nathan Peterman his backup.

Atlanta Falcons (5-6) at Washington Commanders (6-5)

    • Channel: FOX
    • Start time: 1 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, FOX Now

Don’t look now, but the Washington Commanders have increasingly impressed with each passing week. The change from Carson Wentz to Taylor Heinicke has completely changed the trajectory of Washington’s season with a chance to crash the playoffs.

Atlanta has thrived this season running the ball, but against a Commanders defense playing to its potential, it might be tough sledding this afternoon. If Washington forces Marcus Mariota to make plays with his arm, Heinicke should lead the Commanders to his sixth win in seven games.

Denver Broncos (3-7) at Carolina Panthers (3-8)

    • Channel: FOX
    • Start time: 1 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, FOX Now

Welcome to the worst game of the week, as evidenced by Las Vegas setting the over/under for this game at a measly 36 points. Don’t expect things to go that poorly, but these teams have had a rough go in 2022.

Carolina has question marks at QB due to P.J. Walker’s injury, but the QB under center shouldn’t matter. If Carolina asks the QB to win them the game they’ve already lost. Give the trio of D’Onta Foreman, Chuba Hubbard, and Raheem Blackshear the rock and watch them eat up yards on the ground.

Baltimore Ravens (7-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7)

    • Channel: CBS
    • Start time: 1 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: CBS All-Access, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV

Jacksonville has had one of the more aggravating seasons around the NFL this year. All but one loss, Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs, have been decided by eight points or less. Even worse, the Jaguars have made a back-breaking mistake to give their opponent the one-score lead in most of those.

The roster is still very young, and you can see the vision taking shape. Doug Pederson and the Jaguars need to focus on where this team wants to go in 2023.

The Ravens head into this matchup riding a four-game winning streak, with Lamar Jackson continuing to dazzle with his talents. Will Jacksonville’s retooled defense be ready for the league’s most lethal dual-threat QB?

Los Angeles Chargers (5-5) at Arizona Cardinals (4-7)

    • Channel: CBS
    • Start time: 4:05 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: CBS All-Access, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV

The Week 12 late afternoon window features all but one team from the AFC and NFC West. Things kick off with a matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Arizona Cardinals in the desert. Kyler Murray should play for the first time since being sidelined with a hamstring injury in Week 10.

The injury woes for the Chargers WR room continue as Mike Williams is out one week after briefly returning from a two-week absence in Week 11. The defense is a different story, as they are still without critical contributors.

Arizona gets its injury relief outside of Murray returning as the Cardinals also activated Marquise Brown from IR. It should be interesting to see what Murray and the Cardinals’ offense looks like with its two best receiving options available.

Las Vegas Raiders (3-7) at Seattle Seahawks (6-4)

    • Channel: CBS
    • Start time: 4:05 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: CBS All-Access, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV

Let’s head to the pacific northwest for the next AFC vs. NFC West tilt. This matchup sees the struggling Raiders taking on the Seattle Seahawks fresh off the bye week. The Seahawks’ season has been a wonderful surprise, and given Seattle’s performance on both sides of the football, getting to seven wins seems very achievable this week.

However, this game revolves around the Raiders and what version of this team shows up. The offense and defense have significant flaws that need to be worked out, and Josh McDaniels will get that opportunity, for better or worse.

The rest of the schedule doesn’t get easier. Raiders fans, buckle up. The next several weeks won’t be too kind.

Los Angeles Rams (3-7) at Kansas City Chiefs (8-2)

    • Channel: FOX
    • Start time: 4:25 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, FOX Now

The final West division showdown sees the Los Angeles Rams heading to Arrowhead to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. The first of two 4:25 p.m. ET kickoffs features former Virginia Cavalier QB Bryce Perkins making his first NFL start with the Rams over John Wolford. This won’t make a difference in the outcome, though.

The Chiefs have won six of their last seven games, with the only loss coming against Buffalo in Week 6. Despite being without Juju Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, and Kadarius Toney last week, Patrick Mahomes was unflappable, leading the Chiefs to a second-half comeback.

Based on the offensive production from both teams this year, there aren’t many scenarios where one could see the Rams keeping up with the Chiefs on offense.

New Orleans Saints (4-7) at San Francisco 49ers (6-4)

    • Channel: FOX
    • Start time: 4:25 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, FOX Now

The final afternoon game of the week features New Orleans headed to California to take on the San Francisco 49ers. The only intraconference matchup at 4 o’clock, the 49ers are rolling as they continue to see a stream of talent return to the roster.

Injuries have plagued both squads in this game, but the difference is San Francisco is getting players back while the Saints continue to be bereft of their playmakers.

Despite Dennis Allen taking over as HC, the Saints average some of the least pressure against the QB in the NFL. When given time, Jimmy Garoppolo can find holes and make plays with his dynamic crew of pass catchers. The 49ers should have no issue grabbing the win in this one.

Green Bay Packers (4-7) at Philadelphia Eagles (9-1)

    • Channel: NBC
    • Start time: 8:20 p.m. ET
    • Live stream: NBC Sports, Peacock TV

The day’s final game features the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles facing off at Lincoln Financial Field in Sunday Night Football. The Eagles may have won last week, but it wasn’t pretty. Jonathan Taylor only gained 84 yards on the ground after Philadelphia let Washington run wild, but the Packers are coming to town with a new game plan.

Green Bay’s focus on running the football the past few weeks has opened up the passing game and helped Aaron Rodgers and his inexperienced receivers.

The Eagles’ secondary is fantastic, and given Green Bay’s struggles this season, a few takeaways from the defensive backs are a possibility. Philadelphia needs to figure out how to stop the run and doing that this week would effectively shut down the Packers’ offensive game.

However, if they can’t figure this defensive issue out, the gambit of RBs throughout the remaining schedule.
