Seattle Seahawks (7) at San Francisco 49ers (2)
- Channel: FOX
- Location: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California
- Start time: 4:30 p.m. ET
- Live stream: Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, FOX Now
The NFL games on Super Wild Card Weekend today begin with an NFC West showdown as the Seattle Seahawks head to California to take on the San Francisco 49ers. While the season started with a surprising surge, the Seahawks limped into the postseason, winning just three of their last eight games. Even crazier, Seattle has not beaten a team with a winning record since their Week 8 victory over the New York Giants.
Meanwhile, San Francisco ended the regular season on a 10-game win streak. The 49ers and the Chiefs were the only two teams to sweep its divisional games. Furthermore, San Francisco and the Eagles were the only two teams to rank among the top five in offensive and defensive yards per play. Ten points may be a lot to lay in the postseason, but San Francisco should have no issues advancing to the Divisional Round.
Los Angeles Chargers (5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (4)
- Channel: NBC
- Location: TIAA Bank Field, Jacksonville, Florida
- Start time: 8:15 p.m. ET
- Live stream: NBC Sports, Peacock TV
The second of the Wild Card NFL games today sees two young franchise quarterbacks making their postseason debuts. The Los Angeles Chargers head across the country to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence and Chargers QB Justin Herbert prepare to start in the first playoff game of their careers. After a 2-6 start, Jacksonville won seven of their last nine regular-season games, including ending the season on a five-game win streak to steal the AFC South title from the Tennessee Titans.

On the other hand, the Chargers played good football all season despite the defense and offensive playmakers being hampered by injuries. With WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams back and in the fold for Herbert, the Chargers are ready to make some postseason noise.
Jacksonville’s run toward the end of the season was inspiring. However, their offense wants to pass the ball, which the Chargers have done a great job defending all season. Furthermore, Herbert should have no problem taking advantage of a bottom-tier passing defense.
