    Jaguars vs. Saints predictions

Last week, both teams opened their 2021 season with a loss, although in somewhat contrasting styles. The Saints at least mustered a fight against a Baltimore Ravens team that is on a 19-game preseason winning streak. Meanwhile, the Jaguars were effectively handled by a Cleveland Browns team resting several starters.

The storylines with the Saints largely revolve around who will be their quarterback in 2021. Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill are both looking to seal the starting role as they look to replace Drew Brees. Last week, both threw an interception in their 12 passes, with Winston also managing a touchdown.

There are other storylines to watch for the Saints. Who will be the No. 1 receiver with Michael Thomas set to miss the start of the season? How will their front seven on defense look after losing a lot of key pieces on defense?

The Jaguars have much to figure out in the NFL game today. They supposedly still have a competition at QB, although it really should be Trevor Lawrence’s job to lose. Furthermore, they have a lot to figure out both in terms of their wide receiver group and on defense.
