NFL Games Today: Is There Football on Tonight? Thursday Night Football Set To Make Its Return

It’s been almost six months since the final seconds ticked off the clock in Super Bowl 57, and finally, after a long offseason, it’s time to ask again: Are there NFL games today? With the 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game set to kick off, who is playing, and where can you watch the NFL’s first preseason contest of the 2023-2024 season? Here’s all the information needed to catch the first NFL action since February.

Hall of Fame Game Kicks Off 2023 NFL Preseason Schedule

On Feb. 9, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced the 2023 class set to be enshrined the day after the game. With two first-ballot Hall of Famers set to be inducted, the NFL will celebrate both in one night as the New York Jets head to Canton, Ohio, to take on the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns see 11-year offensive tackle Joe Thomas enter the prestigious club in his first year of eligibility. Joining Thomas is Darelle Revis, who dominated the league at the cornerback position during his time with the Jets and subsequent stops after. However, the Jets will celebrate two Hall of Fame members as defensive lineman Joe Klecko is also in the 2023 class. Here’s all the info needed to watch the 2023 NFL Hall of Fame Game today.

Everything You Need To Know About the Hall of Fame Game

Outside of a few years here and there, the Hall of Fame Game has kicked off the NFL preseason dating back to 1962. The game is played at the birthplace of the National Football League, with the Jets and Browns kicking off at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

Cleveland makes their sixth appearance in the Hall of Fame Game, with its most recent appearance in 1999. The Browns also played in the second Hall of Fame Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1963. Meanwhile, this will be the Jets’ third trip to Canton, with the last visit in 1992. With the Hall of Fame Game kicking off the 2023 preseason, are there other NFL games today?
