NFL Games Today: Is There NFL Football Today?
Following the 2022 college football season, the NFL took the spotlight on recent Saturdays with a three-game slate in Week 15 and then a modified Christmas Eve schedule for Week 16, limiting Sunday’s action to three games. Given this trend, is there NFL football on New Year’s Eve?
There are no NFL games today as the league reverts to its standard scheduling format. Additionally, given that it’s New Year’s Eve on Saturday, the College Football Playoff Semifinals will take center stage this evening. The Dallas Cowboys already defeated the Tennessee Titans 27-13 on Thursday Night Football, but prepare for a full slate of 14 games on Sunday and the final Monday Night Football game of the 2022 regular season.
Fans won’t have to wait too long for Saturday NFL football to return, however. Next week, the league will play on both Saturday and Sunday. There will be two Saturday NFL games on Jan. 7 — kicking off at 4:30 p.m. ET and 8:15 p.m. ET, respectively. Those games will likely be announced on Sunday evening.
