Peyton Manning speaks a lot in front of the mic, but singing isn’t what he does. The two-time Super Bowl champion, along with Luke Bryan, hosted the 2024 CMA Awards from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday (Nov. 20). This was the third consecutive year for the former quarterback to host the biggest night of country music artists.
The 58th edition of the awards gave Peyton the perfect setting and inspiration to test his voice in front of the mic. However, as soon as someone posted it on the internet, netizens had all sorts of reactions.
Fans React to Peyton Manning’s Viral Karaoke
After hosting the 58th CMA awards, a video went viral where Manning can be seen singing karaoke in front of a lively audience in what appears to be a bar or, as one fan said, “a basement.”
Manning sang David Allan Coe’s “You Never Even Called Me By My Name.” Fans on the internet found Manning as “one of us.”

Peyton Manning Makes Fun of Dallas Cowboys’ Jerry Jones at CMAs
The former Indianapolis Colts quarterback enjoyed his time beating Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys numerous times on the field when he was a player. Even as a sportscaster, one would hardly find him praising the Cowboys. And amid a disastrous season where Dallas finds itself at 3-7 with no hopes of the playoffs in sight, Manning couldn’t resist but poke fun at the owner.
During the CMAs, country music artist and co-host Lainey Wilson cheered Kelsea Ballerini, whose song ‘Cowboys Cry Too’ with Noah Kahan was a finalist for musical event of the year.
“Come on, let’s hear it for Kelsea,” Wilson encouraged. “This is the year we learned that cowboys cry, too.”
Seizing the moment for a joke, Peyton Manning quipped, “Alright, that’s enough about Jerry Jones.” The playful jab sparked laughter from the audience.
