Tyreek Hill Makes Call To Form an Olympic Team

Hill took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to make his call to the league fraternity to take part in the proposed new sport for the Olympics, as the worldwide event makes its return to American soil with the ’28 version heading to Los Angeles.

“Calling all NFL guys, let’s bring one home,” Hill said, referencing the gold medal.

Flag football was officially proposed by NFL organizers on Monday for the 2028 games. Per the Associated Press, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) will vote on the proposal during the week of October 9. Along with flag football, sports like lacrosse, baseball, softball, squash, and cricket are among the other proposed games.

However, the thoughts of who could comprise the first Team USA flag football team surfaced among NFL fans who reacted to Hill’s post.

One fan proposed this idea to the “Cheetah”: Hill joins Minnesota Vikings All-Pro Justin Jefferson and Cincinnati Bengals All-Pro Ja’Marr Chase as the wide receiving corps. The running backs are San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey and Hill’s Dolphin teammate De’Von Achane. And the quarterback? Baltimore Ravens All-Pro and 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson.

As for head coach, one fan proposed that the Dolphins’ Mike McDaniel is the one who should call plays.

One fan, however, sent this warning to Hill regarding the last time he was involved with a flag football game: The one that saw his eventual future Dolphins teammate Jalen Ramsey lay him out.

Hill, though, made the first attempt at showing his interest in the proposed new sport. Now it’s just a matter of it getting approval and allowing the NFL to have its stars comprise the first-ever USA flag football team.
