FS1 Personality Nick Wright Gets Ripped by NFL Fans After Chiefs 20-0 Prediction – “Can’t Wait to Hear the Excuses”

Nick Wright may think twice the next time he makes a bold take on air after NFL fans roasted the FS1 personality over his awful Kansas City Chiefs take.

The thing about making bold proclamations is they more than likely are going to come back to bite you. In the case of FS1’s Nick Wright, that reality came very quickly.

After declaring that the Kanas City Chiefs would go 20-0 on their road to winning another Super Bowl trophy, the Chiefs would lose their very first game of the season, 21-20, to the up-and-coming Detroit Lions. Unfortunately, in Wright’s case, his proclamation was much more of the permanent kind.

Wright was so foolishly confident in his stance that he actually got the words “Never a doubt” tattooed on his forearm. He may not have doubted it then, but he may have a few doubts about his decision now.

Naturally, as with all things, social media had a fun time with this. When you sit on national television and speak so definitively, and it backfires in the first game, of course, there is going to be a fan reaction to it. Even the Lions themselves got in on the fun.

Even Wright himself got in on making fun of himself after the fact.

While we now know for sure that Kansas City will not go undefeated in 2023, this Chiefs team is still quarterbacked by Patrick Mahomes. They will almost certainly factor into the playoff scenario at the end of the season, meaning Wright may ultimately see the Chiefs win it all, even if they won’t be doing it unblemished.

Has Any NFL Team Ever Gone Undefeated?

There has only been one NFL team in the league’s entire history to go undefeated, and that was the 1972 Miami Dolphins, who finished 17-0 on the year and won Super Bowl VII over the Washington Redskins.

To this day, the ’72 Dolphins have remained the only NFL team to complete an entire season undefeated. That season, Miami ranked first in the NFL in total offense, total defense, scoring offense, and scoring defense en route to a dominant performance that still has not been touched.

The closest team to match the immortalized Dolphins team was the 2007 New England Patriots. That Patriots team, manned by Tom Brady and Randy Moss, would go on to go undefeated in the regular season before losing to Eli Manning and the New York Giants in the Super Bowl.

What looked like the greatest team ever assembled would ultimately be the victims of the biggest underdog win in Super Bowl history, further proving just how impressive what the Dolphins did in 1972 is.
